Mystery Game Route 66 Road to Riches Detective Puzzle Game

I was really impressed with this Finders Seekers Route 66 game. The puzzles are smart and well-designed, the materials look great, and we found that the storyline pulled us in. Like others have said, it felt more like an escape room you can enjoy at home than a mystery. But that's to our liking. We played as a family and everyone had a great time. The difficulty is just right—challenging without being frustrating. And the little extras add a fun touch. Bottom line, this is a high-quality, engaging puzzle adventure that’s perfect for families, couples, or anyone who loves a good set of puzzles really. Highly recommend!

Got this for my son for his birthday, and we finally sat down to solve the mystery together about a week ago. Such a good time! The puzzles were JUST challenging enough without feeling impossible. There were a couple that were easier than others, but there were also a couple that had me totally stumped. Fortunately, my son (16) pieced it together. My one and only issue is that it's basically a one-and-done game. I knew that when I bought it, but I just wish that there was more to it once you solve it the first time. To be clear, while the clues/results will always be the same, you could always pass it on to a friend or family member. But there are a couple of puzzles where you write directly in the "photo album" book of clues, so if you DO plan to "reuse" it, just write your answers on a separate sheet (or maybe use transparent overlays?—I only just thought of that now and kind of wish we'd done that... Oh well. Next time...).

I love that I can always trust Finders Seekers mysteries to be family-friendly and fun. So many other escape room style mystery games focus on solving violent crimes and are often too scary/sad to play with our kids. This Route 66 mystery, on the other hand, was just perfect. It took us several hours to work through all the puzzles but we did it! (only had to peek at one hint) I loved the mystery told through an old memory book. It makes me want to take this road trip and see some of the eclectic sights along a road I'd heard of, but didn't really know that much about. It was cool to learn some of the quirky attractions that are still there today. Some of the puzzles were on souvenirs like a license plate cover and a air freshener that's now hanging in my car. We loved it.

It came in perfect condition but the game itself is absolutely terrible. There’s no connection between the puzzles, and it’s difficulty level is for a child, probably.

Not what I would categorise as an escape room more like solving a detective case for teens in what seemed like a workbook of solvable word puzzles. Our family finished it because it was different than past escape rooms we’ve bought and it was something to kill the time but definitely NOT an escape room type game which made it disappointing for us.

The game and puzzles were decently fun and challenging but I don’t think it was worth the price.
