A good upgrade from a handheld leaf vac.
I think this will work much better for me than the handheld leaf vac I had. That was heavy and awkward. This however is like using a lawnmower except that it vacuums leave and small debris and chips it up some. It will also easily and quickly convert to a blower. It doesn't blow far but is helpful. The inlet gets clogged fairly easily so take your time if you have a lot of leaves. It does not do well if the leaves are wet at all. The instructions were not that clear but I put together a lot of things. The top handles were too wide for the lower extension bar but they bent easily inwards. Just be careful. I have high hopes this lasts since I have a TON of leaves to deal with.

Excellent fit
I bought this unit specifically to suck up the brush oak leaves in Florida out of my St. Augustine grass. These leaves if left work their way to the soil and smother out new growth. Our community doesn't like it when you blow these leaves onto the street. Anyways after using it 3 times I am satisfied it does the job and does what the ad stated it would. It is excellent in mulching the leaves and takes me about 30 minutes to do 800 sq. ft. You do have to go over the area several times to get leaves to work their way to the top to be sucked up. It also has found way more dead grass than I ever imagined. Satisfied with it and now just hope it lasts. Leaf season here is several months. Only real complaint is it's a bit of a trick to get the bag to attach. It could be a lot simplier I think.

It works, but don't expect it to vacuum like your carpet vacuum.
This is close to being a great product. It was exactly what I was looking for and I had high hopes, but it does fall short in some areas. I think some simple changes would help greatly. First, the instructions are basically worthless. They don't tell you how to put it together and very little on how to operate it. Fortunately, this thing is pretty simple in both regards. But the engineering seems off. The upper handlebars don't match with the lower - I had to bend them inward a bit to attach them. Then there were strange cord attachment pieces that seemed unnecessary, and I couldn't understand how they were supposed to fit - I threw them away. The bag does not attach to the handlebars securely and constantly falls off during operation. It is difficult to push against the "grain" of the turf. It is loud and yet needs more power. It will not pick up larger items like small sticks, or smaller heavy items like large seeds. It takes several passes for some leaves to get picked up as well. This would not do well for large leaves like maple leaves. All that having been said, it IS a great idea and works better than raking or blowing. I hope that by the time this one wears out, better models are offered. Fix the issues and this thing would be great!

I am happy with this purchase - it works well
I have artificial turf and I purchased this to help me remove the leaves. Assembly was OK - the picture for mounting the handle was backwards. Once I figured that out the rest went together with ease. There is a learning curve, at least for me in using it. I could not put the front in the full down position it dug into the turf and made it hard to move. I found that it was easier to let it suck up the leaves on the back stroke instead of trying to pickup leaves pushing it forward. It did a very good job of picking up the leaves and makes it much easier for me that using blower. The bag holds a lot of mulched leaves and I only had to empty it once for my 900 square feet of artificial turf.

Exactly what I needed for my Turf
I have a fair amount of turf in my back and front yard from the previous owners. Unfortunately, I have a beautifully large Chinese elm that has fairly small leaves that litter the yard and tend to get caught up in the turf. My routine for leaf maintanence has been using a blower (for large debris), and a combination of a nylon rake with a nylon power broom for the small leave. It’s quite effective but extremely time consuming, taking usually 4-6 hours. This vacuum has made the time ~2 hours. Assembly was quick and easy and functionality was straightforward. I found a forward and reverse pass was required to get those leaves that are really stuck, but two passes is inconsequential (see pictures). It did a great job of getting 99% of the leaves within the forward and reverse pass and collected/mulched the debris. On flat concrete, it performed even better (as expected). Obviously, this machine will be tougher around edges that may not have great clearance, but easily dealt with by a quick raking and vacuuming the piles. I think this is a must-have if you have turf and foliage that sheds significantly. 5/5 for now until reliability can be assessed.

Stick to a shop vac instead
Does not work on pine needles or shrubbery shreds. Picks up small rocks and you hear the banging inside. Does not pick up feathers or leaves in artificial grass. Have to go over AG several times for a decent job. It is light weight and is more quiet than a standard lawnmower, but still noisy. It is more comfortable than using a shop vac, but it’s a hassle in that you have to go over areas several times. Although your back will be sore, a shop vac is a fraction of the price and does a better job.

Good value for the money
Works great in leaf pickup in small areas around the house. Would recommend for Lightfoot’s usage around residential property.

Avoid stones
Works great when the maple tree drops their "keys". If vacuumed against the grain turf looks good
