HP 49A Black Toner Cartridge | Works Laserjet 1160, 1320 Series | Q5949A

Excellent purchase. Ordered this several times for my laser HP.

I ordered two cartridges. They were mailed on time and so far the one I have used works great. The price for this brand was lower than any other brand. I was a little worried that the quality might be lower than the more expensive ones, but so far, I have been happy with this toner. I would definitely recommend it as an inexpensive, high quality option.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME in using the other "cheap" substituted brands which were last about a year. This HP 49A (Q5949A) sustained about 4 years in my use! Highly recommended it !

Please check your printer and do not rely on ping-pong reviews from 2005. The "X" version is much larger toner cartridge and will not fit some printers like HP Laser Jet 1160. You will need "A" version for those printers or toner doors will not close. Speaking of: I ordered from OnlineTechStores, and faced this problem because they went by "ship errors" in reviews, then they sent me correct "A" cartridge at no additional cost = very decent retailer. Regardless that HP plays their games with "fit-this-not-fit-that" the OnlineTechStores came out victorious even thou they most likely did not make much on this deal. I write this review to clear the info and to indorse that retailer. Not every time we deal with this so credit is due where it belongs. Do not blame Amazon if mishap happens - it can be fixed, just RTFM instead of listen to know-it-alls, and we will all be happy ever after. LOL

My HP 1320 laser printer has functioned with no problems for eight years, using only HP toner cartriges. I once tried a less costly off-brand with the former printer. It never printed properly again. The price I paid on Amazon.com was excellent, and delivery was prompt.

This is my second order for this toner so it has obviously worked for me. However, I only use it at home and can't honestly tell you how many pages it has printed out. This toner has definitely worked well though with no problems at all. All pages have printed clear and dark with no lines on the sides or any smudging anywhere. I have printed mostly text with very little need for full pages of black and white pictures...but when I have had to print those out they have been fine and all of the shades of gray have also been fine. For the difference in cost I highly recommend this toner. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it only lasted 8-9 months. There is no way I printed out 2500 pages in that time...which is what they are claiming this cartridge will do. Actually I would be surprised if I have printed even 1000 pages in that time...probably not.

The cartridge was easy to install in my printer and the printed material was dark and clear
