Shampoo and Sulfate Free Conditioner Kit, with Argan Oil, Pro-V Gold Series, for Natural and Curly Textured Hair, 16.9 fl oz, Kit

I don’t really enjoy leaving reviews, but I found these Pantene products to be so shockingly good that I felt compelled to share in case it helps someone else who struggles to find a great shampoo and conditioner for relaxed hair. My husband swears by Pantene for his hair, which I found useless for mine about 10 years back. Surprisingly, after reviewing several products across the brand/price spectrum, I decided to give Pantene’s Gold Series set a try. Go figure. I liked their story on how the products were formulated. To my shock and glee, the shampoo and conditioner were a godsend! I don’t know what happened over the last 10 years, but this time, things were different between Pantene and me! Only there was this nagging disappointment with the markup and size (down) compared to the other Pantene shampoo and conditioner sets. I decided to try the Daily Moisture Renewal Pro-V set because of the great customer reviews, Amazon’s Rufus analysis, the huge bottle sizes, and the price per fluid ounce being so much cheaper than the Gold Series set, which is approximately 118.42% more expensive. Here’s how I would describe each set. Gold Series: Smells delicious like a combination of flowers, fruit, and candy. Shampoo (8.5 fl oz bottle) lathers well and makes hair immediately soft after a first and second wash. The conditioner (8.4 fl oz tube) is epic at detangling and smoothing, leaving hair feeling soft, light, and beautifully scented. Daily Moisture Renewal Pro-V: Has a lasting fresh herbal scent. Shampoo (27.7 fl oz bottle) lathers well and makes hair immediately soft after a first and second wash. The conditioner (25.1 fl oz bottle) is epic at detangling and smoothing, leaving hair feeling soft, deeply moisturized, and beautifully scented. Bottom line: I’ll be sticking with the Daily Moisture Renewal Pro-V series for now. They’re all great products, but the crazy markup and the tiny bottle sizes for the Gold Series are just a bummer. I hope Pantene will fix this soon so that all customers feel like they’re getting a fair price for the products that work best for their hair...

The best product and a MUST BUY!

This set works wonders. The shampoo cleans thoroughly without stripping moisture, and the sulfate-free conditioner leaves hair incredibly soft, hydrated, and manageable. Great scent too!

As you know with naturally curly hair, our hair is drier than most. This shampoo and conditioner makes my hair feel well hydrated. Both the shampoo and conditioner have an amazing smell. They aren’t really thick but both lather well. The shampoo doesn’t strip your hair of its natural oils and the conditioner adds extra moisture to it. Once both are washed out, my curls have definition and bounce, even without product. This leaves my scalp feeling fresh without the irritation that I receive from most of the other brands. There is no crunchy after feeling, just soft beautiful coils. My hair is medium length and not really thick but I do have a lot of it. I’ve washed my hair about 4-5 times now and I still have plenty left. I use 4-5 pumps of shampoo to lather my hair well and a half dollar amount of conditioner. Pantene is the only brand that I have found to have products that love my natural curls as much as I do. I have already ordered more.

Hair feels clean snd soft with volume

If you are like I was and bought the most expensive hair products for your natural hair and saw no difference or it simply did not work this is the review for you. I have been using the Gold Series for the past year and I can tell you that this product works if you stick with it. I’ve used products that claimed that it will grow your hair blah blah blah and spent an arm and leg an it didn’t grow my hair or make a difference. I read about how Pantene Gold Series came about and the fact that there were 8 BLACK Scientist(may be less read this over a yr ago) that did their research and produced this line of hair products. I decided that if Pantene could put the effort in hiring people to focus on black hair than I am going to stay the course and try it out for one year. Also the price was definitely affordable. Why should black people have to spend so much money to keep their hair healthy??? I am so glad I did stay the course because my hair has grown at least 3-4 inches and it looks healthy. I bought the entire line because it’s much cheaper comparing to other hair line products and what did I have to lose especially since I have wasted so much money in the past? My hair was dry and brittle not any longer!! I get compliments about it all the time and I share what I am using because Black women will spend the money if they think it is going to work. I went to a Hair stylist just to style my hair I don’t let them wash it I do it myself using my products from Pantene. She kept saying to me your hair smells so good. I flat ironed my hair and my daughters could not believe how long it grew! I don’t want to knock anyone else’s products but I know there are so many women that spend so much money and time on their hair like I did with disappointing results. I am not getting paid for this I am simply telling my truth. I would implore you to try this line for 1 yr. I bet you will be back with a review like mine and much more money in your pocket!!!

Smells super good. Great for my daughter & I’d curly hair

I love the ahampoo, it made my hair really soft and it smells really good but the conditioner made my hair a little brittle. Other than that, it's ok for the price.

The shampoo is fantastic! It's more of a gel than a shampoo and the scent is heavenly! The shampoo smells fruity and my hair is soft, shiny as well as manageable; the shampoo cleansed my hair and WOW! What a difference it makes! I love that the shampoo is sulfate-free, it didn't dry out my hair and it is safe to use on color treated hair, even bleached hair! The shampoo lathers well and it rinsed it out completely; I also love the shampoo has my favorite ingredient, Panthenol (a. k. a. Vitamin B5) for hair growth and that it is infused with Argan oil for softness as well as shine. I will definitely order this beautiful shampoo again! Thank you, Pantene, for making a fantastic shampoo, and thank you, Amazon, for having the shampoo at an affordable price.

Just right for my curly, frizzy hair!!!

I really wanted to like this product. I’ve been searching for something sulfate free that is smoothing and conditioning and sadly this is not it. My hair felt so course and dry after using this that I am tossing it. It feels like I washed my hair and didn’t use any conditioner at all. So disappointing and a total waste of money.
