Sony EV-C3 Compact Video 8 VCR

I bought this VCR from Classic Camcorders in March of 2016 to transfer my old Video 8 tapes onto DVD's. It was a project I had finally decided to tackle. I received the recorder and it worked great. I transferred two tapes then procrastinated and didn't use the VCR again until recently, two years later. For some reason, the play, stop, and pause buttons failed to work. I called John with Classic Camcorders and he offered to fix it for free saying, he takes care of his customers. I didn't call him to complain or ask him to repair it, certainly not for free, I called to ask him what he thought might be wrong. I was thinking it might be something simple I could do. This is a good company to work with. Thank you, Sincerely, Doug.

I bought a video player before I read the reviews on this guy when I got the video player it did not work! do not buy from this seller. I waited for a month when I decided to cancel the order that’s when he sent it. It’s a scam. They are doing this to get paid.

The product bailed me out of the failed player on the camera since the cassette compartment would not operate properly.

Bought so I could get my children’s sports videos over to digital. The project was a great success. Now I need to sell unit to someone else who needs to do the same.

The EV-C3 it's working very well, but i'm little disapointed because it cames without remote control,

I knew John was different; he included his name and telephone number in the package. After converting 4 8-mm tapes, the 5th ended with image smear and fragmenting. I called John and told him about the problem in a voice message. He returned my call; we had a friendly, informative discussion and, he agreed to send me a replacement. The replacement arrived (slow because of holiday shipping) and allowed me to successfully read and convert all 20 of my Camcorder tapes to mp4. These videos are an important gift to my daughter, just in time for Christmas. I would definitely do future business with John should the need arise!
