Reviews are true. Product is easy to apply if you follow directions. Your hair will smell for future washes (like rotten eggs) and your hair color will lighten if you die it. BUT if you don’t care about temporary smells or your color lightening, this product is a 10/10. I have fizzy curly hair and the result of this treatment is equivalent to the $350 salon keratin and I can easily get 2-3 treatments out of one bottle. Only extra advice I have is wear a heat resistant glove when straightening your hair during the application process.. it gets hot!!

I should have read the reviews! This product does take away frizz however, when you wash your hair it smells like actual death. I am panicking since it is Summer and I swim and run outdoors. The smell is so strong and horrible. It is embarrassing. I am going to try clarifying shampoo on repeat. So not worth it. Never again. I can’t believe anyone would be ok with smelling this way unless you never get your hair wet. I will probably be kicked out of the salon when they wash my hair! If anyone has any advice on how to make the smell go away, please help!!!!!!!!!!!

I was waiting to wash first wash after the treatment to add my review. If it was not for Amazon delaying shipment—the product was anticipated for so long—the experience itself was wonderful. It is very easy to use and has almost no smell; I would say it has a light fruity aroma, completely avoiding that traditional, heavy keratin chemical smell. It felt so light on the hair. I do have high porosity, so my hair drank it all right up! I left it for only 50 minutes, washed it out, and it was very easy to rinse. I felt really nothing heavy left on my hair. For the styling, the blow-dry I did was not just a basic dry; I did a full blow-dry then flat-ironed it, which gave me soft, shiny, pin-straight hair. I wanted to see if my hair would smell after the first wash, and it did not! I would say some people might experience an odor based on how the product reacts to their body since I am sure it is different for everyone, but this had zero smell, and my hair felt so soft and easy to style. I love it so much! All in all, it's an easy-to-use, low-maintenance keratin treatment. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Update a year-ish later 7/3/26: This product still works great on my fine 3B hair. I reapply every 8-10 weeks. Sometimes I use it directly after coloring my greys. Othertimes, like today, I use a week after coloring. No stripping of color has been noticed. My hair is touchable after treatment, has a good natural swing, and my ends don't need to be chopped afterwards. I begrudgingly tried five, maybe more, other keratin treatments before finding this one. And used each was used for more than a year as the product bottles were gigantic. They all had formaldehyde and though initially semed to beef up my fine hair, there was a toxic smelling heavy waxy film I was nervous about having touch the back of my neck, ears and face frame. Waiting 3 days to wash was torture. Did they remove curl? Sure, but after washing, my hair was limp, the ends were wasting away getting thinner and unable to hold curl. For my fine 3b hair, this product still works much better. Original post: Most of the time I blowdry style the front and wear the rest curly. Application is fairly easy: 1. Apply to clean dry hair until it is wet, not dripping (I use gloves and then comb it through) 2. Let it sit 40ish minutes (timing depends on hair thickness) 3. Rinse with plain water 4. Blowdry hair until it is dry 5. Flatiron each section 6 times at 200 degrees Celcius / about 400 degrees Farenheit (I use 350 Fahrenheit) 6. Wait 24+ hours for next wash There are very low to minimal fumes while flatironing this treatment and then afterwards my hair feels soft and conditioned. Other treatments make my eyes and throat burn horribly, leave my hair waxy and stinky, plus cause breakage. Blow drying and/or flatironing after treatment makes my hair nice and straight. Yet my wash and go styles are curly and natural. I can use a light- medium gel to set a looser curl then scrunch out any crunchiness. I am happy with this product and recommend it to those who like having the option of wearing their hair straight or curly.

It works, made my hair less frizzy and softer…but when my hair gets wet it stinks! It’s been almost 10 days.

I have fine type 3 curly hair medium density medium to high porosity and so prone to matting and fairy knots even with haircuts even in braids I can’t wear my hair out for longer than an hour without it becoming unruly forget a bun. I applied this treatment according to the written instructions not the photo instructions on the website used my Dyson Airstrait to blowdry and Dyson Corrale straightener over it on 365 I believe. I’m in love with the results I’m no longer considering getting a relaxer or shaving my head. I feel confident and pretty and easily put together each morning. There were ZERO bad smells no eyes burning no smoke while straightening. I live in AZ I was outside in 90° weather for several hours sweating and my hair remained absolutely perfect I couldn’t believe it!! The first two pics are my hair after I washed and air dried before applying the treatment. The video is how it still looks, and the highlighted pic is to show what my curl pattern with products is. I will absolutely be buying again and I still have half a bottle left.

I get Brazilians consistency every 12-14 weeks. Was headed out of town for a wedding in FL and didn’t have enough time to make an appt. Tried it out and it stripped all my color treated hair. I went from a deep brown to my more natural red color. Not a fan. Did help with froze so if you don’t have color treated hair I think it worked well, but be cautious if you do color your hair. Won’t be using again.

I was so excited to see an at home keratin treatment. I was getting salon Brazilian Blowouts regularly for years and stopped for the last year. The cost is already high and then having to tip on top of that. And the chemical smell would burn my eyes during the treatment and as I get older I just don't want to put that particular chemical on my scalp. I ordered the ANSWR treatment kit and followed the directions exactly. Pros: Easy process; I have super thick, coarse hair and was able to easily blow dry and flat iron my hair after washing the treatment. No chemical smell, even during flat ironing. My hair felt super soft and smooth and easy to manage. Cons: Completely stripped not only the dyed color from my hair (I get my roots dyed), but also my actual hair color at my roots, turning it an orangish copper color and my grey roots were fully exposed. Salon keratin treatments lightened color, but they did not strip my hair of its own color or turn it another color, it lightened the deposited dye. It lasted a couple of washes, then began going to back to its usual texture. If they fixed the color stripping, I would buy and use it regularly, every couple of months. It really is a great alternative to expensive and toxic salon treatments (which few salons even offer anymore here in CA). I think this is a great product if you don't color your hair. If you color your hair, which is an expensive salon treatment where I live, it's not worth stripping that color out. I hope the company looks at feedback and finds a way to formulate the product to be safe for color treated hair.
