FC11C Led Flashlight Rechargeable High Lumen 1200

There are cheaper flashlights available, but this one is better. It's small and lightweight, it's bright, and the battery lasts surprisingly long. It's made of metal so it's durable, but it's also designed to be easy to grip when wet or dewy. You almost definitely already have a charger that will work with this light because it's USB-C. It's waterproof (but I never tested that), and the magnetic cap means you can stick it to a lot of things to keep it handy. It also has a lanyard and a metal clip, so there are lots of ways to keep and carry this around. The switch is satisfying and clicky, and it lights up for 5 seconds after you turn on the light. The beam is bright and reasonably focused, but it won't go on for hundreds of yards or anything. I think that's fine, but if you need some crazy amount of brightness and distance, you should look elsewhere. At the brightest setting, this flashlight will get hot after a few minutes, but I never need to use the brightest setting for that long. You get the dimmest setting by holding the button down while the light is off. It's much dimmer than the other 3 settings, it's like a cheap keychain light, which in some situations is useful! My advice if you are getting a flashlight for normal use is to get this one and not cheap out, because if you get some piece of junk you're going to need another one soon anyway. Most flashlights that cost less than this one skimp out on some of these small but thoughtful inclusions that add up to make a long lasting tool that does its job without any fuss and stays out of your way. Also, this is a brand you can trust isn't going to start shipping some counterfeit product just to save money. You know exactly what you're going to get when you order this.

Great light. Good usability, decent multi-function options, durable, waterproof, bright, and the high CRI diode is even nicer than I expected it would be. I had a problem with the button switch intermittently failing to cycle the light on/off after ~6 months of daily use, and after contacting Wurkkos and discussing the issue, they promptly sent me a new replacement light. Fantastic customer service The magnet on the tailcap is extremely useful, offering versatility in a variety of situations (i.e. automotive maintenance, using as a spotlight in a dark area, etc). For everyday use, the FC11C perfectly combines battery life, high output, good color rendering, and portability (easily fits in pocket and is retained by its clip).

If you are looking for a flashlight that will send a spot of light out to 700 yards? This is not the light for you. If you want to light up an entire city block? Not the light for you. If you need an excellent, easy to use, pocket friendly flashlight with a really nice coloration of the light beam? This is probably going to be your new everyday use flashlight. The FC11C is a truly fantastic light for the beginner, for more experienced flashaholics, the kids, or even for the older parents. It fits into your hand very ergonomically. It slides into your pocket and stays put, due to the pocket clip. It also comes with a lanyard and a magnetic tailcap (so you can stick it to any metal surface for hands free use). One of the great things about Wurkkos lights is that most come with the rechargeable battery and a USBC charging port built right into the light. They are also water proof with an IPX8 rating and drop proof to at least 3 feet (they have been torture tested and dropped at 10 feet or more without issue). The FC11C comes with a buck driver, which means that it can sustain the top output for a good bit longer than normal drivers allow. Turbo mode is 1200 lumens, which means you can see all around you! The LED is the nichia 519, which produces a good neutral tint of light which makes the colors of objects appear as they do in daylight. Most flashlight enthusiasts love the neutral or warmer colored leds. This light sends the beam out to around 150 yards/meters, and I can confirm that you can see things near that distance. The beam has a large hotspot that blends out smoothly to some nice flood due to the orange peel reflector. This makes for a very nice beam for everyday uses. The operation (UI, user interface) is pretty cool, because you can change it between 2 types of operation. Both types have memory to the last light level you were on. It comes set up in stepped modes, meaning you get a low, mid, and turbo. Click to turn on light. Click and hold to change modes. Click again to turn off. Easy peasy. From off, Click and hold for a few seconds and you get a very low moonlight mode. From anywhere, a double click will send you straight to the 1200 lumen turbo mode. To change to a smooth ramping mode: from off, click and hold until the light flashes (about 5-10 seconds). You are now in smooth ramping mode. Click to turn on. Click and hold, and it will slowly begin to get brighter. Release the button to stop at the level you want. A quick click and hold after the release will begin a slow ramp downwards. Release when you reach the output you want. From off, a click and hold will give you moonlight. Double click from anywhere sends you to turbo. 4 quick clicks will lock out the light to prevent accidental activation when in a pack or pocket. 4 more removes lockout and allows you to resume all functionality. My final thoughts on the light... it is not the biggest brightest light in the world, and certainly not that from the lights in my collection. But it was made to be a daily user for almost all circumstances where you will need a flashlight. The neutral tint makes this easy on the eyes, and colors show nicely under the beam. Wukkos gives us another excellent choice for a daily user. You won't be disappointed with this purchase. I have added some beamshots to this review. The corner of the fence against the garage is about 40 yards. The shed is around 80 yards. The treeline is about 100ish yards. And the second shot is at near 140-150 yards. You can see the light is beginning to get weaker at that distance. Buy this light with confidence. This flashlight has the following things that make it the best flashlight to buy for normal people in my opinion: 1. Simple interface for basic function. 2. Great price for the output and runtime (even better when they have sales, and they do often) 3. Built in charging 4. Small size, but not tiny 1. You push the button, the light comes on. You push it again, the light goes off. Anyone can use this. You want more? There is more if you want to learn it, but you can turn it on and off like any flashlight you’ve used since the 70’s. Additionally: If it’s off you can hold the button down and it comes on super dim so you can go to the bathroom or check something in your kids room without waking other people up. Double click the button and it goes to it’s brightest setting. Click and hold the button while the light is on normally and it changes the brightness. 2. If you go to a box store you’ll pay this much for a light that doesn’t last nearly as long and isn’t nearly as bright. And probably doesn’t have charging built in. If you go down a rabbit hole of fancy flashlights there are better ones out there, but they cost more. Sometimes starting at double what this one costs. 3. It uses lithium batteries, which most normal people probably don’t have chargers for. BUT: It has built in USB C charging. And it’s real USB C, not just a USB C shaped port that needs a USB A brick and an A to C cable. If you have a USB C charger, and a C to C cable this will charge. 4. It’s about as long as a toilet paper tube (US in case other places are different). But it’s about 1/2 the diameter or so. Most adults will find it fits comfortably in their hand, and it’s surprisingly light for its size. Most children should also be able to hold and use it comfortably. Additional notes: Make sure the model you get ends with a “C”! FC11C vs FC11. The C at the end means the electronics are updated and you’ll get more light output for longer due to some efficiencies there. It’s also offered in 4000k and 5000k options. For those not aware the higher the number the more blue the light appears, the lower the more yellow. I have the 4000k and really like them. They have a more classic incandescent color to them while still being nice and bright. The 5000k will have a more modern LED look to them, although not really blue like a 6500k or higher light would be.

Internal USB charging is a HUGE plus for average users. Great build quality, it feels good in hand. The battery does somewhat rattle when you tap the tube, but it hasn't flickered at all. The magnetic tailcap is pretty cool! When you take it off, it brings the battery with it. Speaking of the battery, it is labeled as a 3000mah battery, but in my capacity tests, the highest it measured was 2816mah, but it did arrive out of the box at 3.6 volts. The light is pretty simple to use, you can assume that holding the button makes it change modes. When off, holding the button for 3 secs causes it to cycle from smooth to stepped ramping. When on, holding the button ramps/cycles the brightness levels. Double click for Turbo. I'm pretty sure the Wurkkos is under-rating the lumens on Turbo, as I measured around 1800 - 1900 lumens with the included battery on Turbo! This light does get pretty hot on Turbo, so it has thermal regulation to step down the brightness so it doesn't get too hot and burn out the LEDs. I measured a max temp of 60C on my infrared temp gun, which is pretty hot to hold, so be aware of that (it has a label on the head with a "HOT" warning for a reason). After stepping down in brightness, it held about 700-800 lumens which is still brighter than most CREE XM-L LED lights. Since I got the 4000K version, it has a warmish tone to the light, but is very smooth due to the orange peel reflector (which I prefer!) and still has a decent amount of throw. In the Beamshots, I am comparing the Imalent LD10 (1200 Lumens max 6500k) to the Wurkkos FC11. As you can see the FC11 has a much wider spot and is a much warmer tone. The difference isn't that great in real life though. The Wurkkos has a much more useable light than the LD10. You may notice that the LD10 looks brighter in the tree picture, but the difference isn't that noticable, yes the LD10 has more throw, but the light is also 6500k, which "seems" brighter because its harder on your eyes. 4000K is much easier on the eyes at night and kills your night vision less so than 6500k. The Wurkkos also has a much wider spill/flood so it actually lit up the whole tree instead of just the base of it. Also having 90CRI allows you to distinguish colors much better. If I had to complain about anything about the flashlight itself, I would make the switch light stay on when the light is on to help find the button better. Also, the battery, at least the one that came with mine, is slightly over-rated, it's labeled 3000mah and the highest I got was ~2816mah, so its more of a 2800mah battery and not 3000mah. Not that big of a deal though since I have lots of 18650s to use. I put one of my (salvaged) Samsung 20Qs (2000mah, so waay less capacity, but rated higher in current provided) in the light and it was noticably brighter! I measured the output and it was over 2000 Lumens! So depending on the 18650s you use, the light might be brighter, but its plenty bright on regular 18650s as well. I would recommend this light to anyone! Plenty bright, long lasting, small, USB charging, and not overly expensive! Overall well done Wurkkos!

I have the previous version of this light, the FC11, and I liked it so much that I purchased the FC11C to replace it as my everywhere carry light. I liked the black one that I had to hop on the green version and it's absolutely beautiful! The FC11 series lights have a great lumen output, magnetic base, great build quality, usb-c charging, and a well built pocket clip. The new FC11C is vastly improved under the skin over it's predecessor. The FC11C uses a high end Nichia 519A LED so the light output is really color accurate and has a high CRI. This means when you are looking at colors such as, red, green, blue, etc… they all look the way they should and are not washed out. This may not sound like a big deal but when you are trying to identify something in the pitch black, you will be happy you have a light with good CRI. The other major improvement on the FC11C is the driver. A driver basically takes the power from the battery and allows it to flow to the light. The new FC11C uses a buck driver which is very efficient. An efficient driver will generate less heat and will regulate the power much better which means that you will get much longer run times and the light won't burn you after it's been on high for 5 minutes. One other note about the light is that mode 2 opens up a ramping mode that allows a really low lumen low mode. This is even lower than the low mode that the light ships with out of the box. I love the extra low lumen mode for not waking my wife up when I have to get up late at night. To enable this, hold the button down when turning the light on. It takes about 3 seconds and the light will flash once to let you know that it's changed. Trust me, do this right away, it's a game changer. Overall, if you can't tell, I love this light. It's got everything you would want from a multi-purpose light and you won't be disappointed. The FC11C is the one to get and I 100% love the green version.

I have never had a negative experience from an item I bought on Amazon, until now. I did research and settled on this item in spite of many negative reviews. I went with the odds ... and lost. When it arrived, I made sure I charged it overnight but the charge light remained red. I tried it and was VERY pleased with the quality of the item quality and the light it emitted. I put it in my bedside drawer and tried it again the next day. There was no light. I charged it again, all day. The charge light finally turned green and it worked well. Three days later I used it and it was dead. I tried charging it up again but it has never held a charge. I was researching buying a new battery, thinking it was that, but the cost was $16+. I then reread the negative reviews and found this is a common problem and buying a new battery was a waste of money. I will file this one under "LIVE AND LEARN"

Three FC11C's and counting! The FC11C is a worthy successor to the FC11 with its longer sustained brightness (efficient driver) and better LED. It doesn't get extremely bright, but it is enough for most tasks and the color rendering is especially good (90CRI). Compared to most LED flashlights, this one will show colors much more clearly. That high CRI comes at a slight expense of brightness, but it is well worth it. This is a huge deal which distinguishes this budget light from most others! So let's get the negatives out of the way first. Fixes to all three will be addressed later on in my review. 1) The button is mushy and a sharp switch can be felt underneath the rubber cover. 2) When carried in the pocket, the tail sticks too far out because of pocket clip's size and position. 3) Not an issue but more of a preference - the reflector provides only a basic beam of light with a hard cut-off. Now, this flashlight does still deserve all 5/5 stars because Wurkkos provides an EXCELLENT value for what you are paying for. At the price point it is probably impossible to beat for a general-use flashlight. (I have 100+ flashlights of all sizes). The USB-C charging is especially useful for those without a dedicated Lithium-Ion charger. So what did I do to my FC11C's? Nothing that requires cutting or soldering.... 1) First, I fixed the button. Directions: Unscrew the retaining ring (using snap ring or round nose pliers) and remove the rubber switch cover. Find a piece of translucent plastic to hole punch or cut to a round piece slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the rubber cover. A thin plastic works fine (I used scraps of Lee Zircon lighting gels) as long as it is stiff. The typical clear hard plastic used in packaging works well, though is a little too thick. Then, just insert the round plastic piece and reassemble. Essentially this modification makes the switch actuation more pronounced and does away with the little switch poking through the rubber. This ought to be an easy fix from the factory that would really enhance the product in my opinion. 2) Secondly, I found compatible clips that allowed for deeper pocket carry. While not a perfect fit, the Eagtac SKU3786 and SKU3773 are a nice improvement. You can see both clips in my photos below. Now, the stock clip isn't bad at all, but if you want to spend the extra money I think it's a neat upgrade. 3) Third, I was delighted to find some alternative optics that could be swapped with the reflector. Search for "Convoy 20MM TIR lens for 3535 LED". I recommend ordering several to try, but the 'bead' options will be safest. Some of the optics don't focus well. I prefer the narrower angles between 10-25 degree. This helps replicate the Wurkkos WK03 that comes with a TIR optic but sadly does not have a boost driver. Two caveats with the optic swap to consider: You'll have to remove the glass lens unless you sand down the optic, which likely compromises waterproofness. Secondly, overall brightness is reduced because the transmittance of the optic is lower. The benefit of using these plastic TIR optics is that they allow you to shape the beam how you want - so you can make it a small spot or a wide flood light, and the beam often goes a full 180-degrees in front. For me, it makes a much better beam for walking at night. 4) On the previous note - I also removed the dome on two of my FC11C's. I won't mention the process here but it is fairly easy - just search for a guide on "dedoming" a 519A LED. Essentially it makes the LED look warmer, so in the last photo you can see the difference between a 5000K (bottom left), dedomed 5000K (top middle), and dedomed 4000K (bottom right). 5) Lastly, I swapped some 18350 tubes from Wurkkos (and Convoy). Search for "Wurkkos 18350 short tube for FC11" and "Wurkkos flashlight accessories switch" and select "WK03 non-magnetic black tailcap". Buying from Wurkkos' official website is a great experience and shipping time is pretty reasonable. Also I swapped the black retaining ring with the gray between two models. The 18350 battery is half the length of a standard 18650, with the Wurkkos 18350 battery tube the FC11C becomes even more pocketable than before! On that note, the 18650 battery that Wurkkos includes seems to be of good quality and has a relatively rating of 3500mAh. I have not yet had one fail. At the end of the day the FC11C is still worth picking up at its list price even if you decide to leave it as-is. It's a decent little flashlight with maybe one exception which is the button. If you want something brighter than the FC11C and don't plan to pocket carry it much, I'd recommend the slightly larger Wurkkos TS26S instead which has 4 LED's instead of 1. It's a great unit. If you are looking for something brighter still that has a tailswitch and don't care about high CRI, the TS23 is worth a serious look. And as alluded to earlier, don't hesitate to order from Wurkkos direct if the pricing is better. There are far more options on their website as well.

This light is small but really bright. It doesn’t take up much space and works exactly as expected. The high CRI 5000K LED gives off a natural, comfortable light that's easy on the eyes. It has a solid, well-made build, and I love the magnetic base. I already have a Wurkkos headlamp that's great, and this flashlight lives up to the same quality. I'll definitely continue buying their products. Good quality and worth the money.

Bright and holds a charge well.
