I wish the one end was left bare so the cable could be cut to length. The nice part is the connectors are definitely sealed and pressed correctly. Instead of the screws supplied, I used screws with the washer and lock nut combo since I had the access. Plugged it into the radio and radio traffic came in nice and clear. I live close to the Mississippi River in New Orleans and was picking up the commercial traffic as well as the weather channel on it. I attempted a radio check with my Sea Tow membership but was unable to get through to it clearly. Granted, I am in the city with plenty of obstructions for the signal so now only time will tell on it's durability. I do like the allen style set screws for the whip antenna, easy on and off.
