Great deal for Bonito flakes, if you use a lot of them as we do. My biggest mistake in raising my 3 kitties was to order that first container of Cat Man Do Bonito flakes. They loved them, they cry if they do not get a plate of them before bed, they are as addicting to cats as chocolate is to humans! My one little boy knows where the bag is and stands at the cupboard on two paws pointing with a third paw for me to get the bag. Great snack, mostly protein, so my only complaint is the cost of this treat. We use a 4 oz bag a week, and my dog cleans the floor, eating any flakes the cats missed, left or dropped from their dish. I also have to give another hint, after I place my order I call Amazon and ask for extra bubble wrap sheets on top and bottom of box. This helps reduce the breakage. These are the largest flakes I found and I must say I tried another brand on Amazon and bought a third brand at a local specialty store.

I would give this five stars if all of my cats loved bonito flakes. But, of three, only one seems to be a fish eater. So, it's not a guaranteed win by any means. However, the one that loves it REALLY loves it. She would eat the whole bag if we let her. Unlike dried cod or salmon chunks, we don't get any coughing or vomit with this. My only real complaint about this product is that by the time we're getting down to the bottom of the bag, the flakes have crumbled into a dust which we will give her, but it makes a real mess.

package size is ok. But the product should have been better protected against crushing. These are fish flakes. I would have loved to see a bit of more care such as card-board dividers between the six packages to prevent rubbing against each other and crushing the product. I felt a good portion of my shipment is crushed. My cats like to each the flakes but not when it is mushed. I like to see some care in packaging this item as it does need special attention to detail to prevent crushing. Can you imaging what you get in a potato chips bag if the bag is dropped a few times from 5ft on the ground?

My cat absolutely loves these. Near the end of the bag it is kind of like bonito dust rather than flakes so my only suggestion may be to package these in a container that would protect the flakes more. Otherwise a great product.
