Odd thread size
Fantastic pump! Plenty of power and extremely quiet. Time will tell but so far great value. Love the variable speeds and digital display. Have it running submerged in my sump pushes plenty of water straight up 5’ through 1” PVC. 300 gallons per hour on setting 7. Odd thread size though. There’s no fitting out there at your local hardware store that will fit it. Not a problem if you use hose or tubing but I wanted to hard plumb it into my existing system. Had to get creative. Used the large hose barb fitting it came with and glued that into the pipe. Works great.

Fantastic little booster pump if you have a need me flow
I started our using it as a booster pump for my Fluval 407. It was so much more powerful and quieter that I just unplugged my Fluval and just use it as a non-pump canister filter.

Quiet, cute and strong
The negatives (only a few but not bad): 1). There should be a 90 degree angle input option that can be screwed on so that it can work in lower water levels. 2). The remote should have an on/off, not just a 10 minute "feed" shutoff option. I ended up buying https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FT4RBBM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to turn the pump on and off. 3) One set of plugs is not screw in, and they tend to fall out or get pulled out and of course the pump won't work. 4) I make fountains and I know there are many people who will use these for other than fishtanks. So perhaps the word "FEED" can be replaced by the word "PAUSE" so that people can use it on fountains, in water walls and other places besides fishtanks. As I said, these are mainly all minor... This is a really great pump. The positives: It's great! It's so quiet. Even on the level 20. I like that it goes up 20 levels. Many pumps go up to 3, 5, 10. It pumps the amount that they said it does. I also like that it's white and black, which matches the fountains I produce. The connection design and the pieces that go with them are good, strong and solid. I have tried mostly every pump on Amazon. This is clearly top for me and I plan to buy more. I plan to buy many more.

Will keep a 70 gallon system happy for years
This pump is basically silent. I say basically because you can hear a slight whine when the room is dead silent. The size works well in a a 20gallon long sump and moves enough water to to keep the tank stable. The wave program definitely is nothing to go crazy about but it works.

An Awesome pump!
My Fluval VX4 pump gave out after just 2 years! Highly disappointed with Fluval. Paying top dollar for a pump that I thought would last, at least more than 2 years. I even changed the impeller thinking that might have been the issue. Nope. I did a Google search and saw many others with the Fluval FX4 having the same issue - impeller quivering and not turning. One of the comments to the post suggested using an external DC motor and I found this pump. I removed the impeller and put the cover back on. This pump was extremely easy to setup, hooking it up on the Fluval Out connection. My Fluval pump works even better than it did with the original pump. I can now adjust the flow of the output as well as pause the pump output during feeding time with a simple push of a button. I highly recommend this pump for anyone that has a Fluval FX4 or simply needs an external pump for an aquarium or pond. Pump seems of very good quality as well.

Very heavy and high quality feel
Very high quality feel to it and is heavy. This only uses 28 watts and pushes much more than the 30 w 400 gallon per hour pump that I have in there. I like how the fittings can be interchangeably easily. I appreciate that. It's only 24 volt so I'm not dealing with high wattage inside the water in case something goes wrong. Also, I like the fact that it can be in line or submerged. Haven't used it yet but if there's anything negative about it I will surely post.

Good so far, very quiet. Update, broken controller
I have been using this pump for about a week and so far so good. the sine controller works as it should and the pump is very quiet. I am using it as a totally submerged sump pump. The box has a copy of the pump performance curve, I did not save my box and now I can't seem to find one online so I recommend taking a picture of that. Update, My controller crapped out completely. Does not turn on even though the power supply light is green. Hopefully they will send a replacement since I purchased it in May so it is less then a year old.

No support, company website does not exist.
This pump is great, except the fittings are fragile and you can't buy replacements anywhere. a standard pond pump fitting won't work. Good luck with warranty support. There is no website for this company. No phone number or email you can find. And when you click on get support, Amazon tells you to visit the Orlushy website......that doesn't exist.

Best Pump I have ever bought
I used this pump for almost a month now, it is so quiet compared with the 2 other pumps I have purchased before, even those 2 other pumps were also advertised they are quiet products. I have a 200-gallon fish tank set up in my living room, the sump pump is below my fish tank inside the cabinet. The environment is really quiet. After I use this DC-4000 pump, I can't even hear the pump is working, all I can hear is the water running. When I first install it, the pump was set to pulse pumping mode, without the user manual, I can not figure out how to change it to the proper setting. Those setting does not make sense by just look at the controller display. After I read the manual and programmed it to the setting I want, it works perfectly. From time to time, I turn off the power to do the water change, the setting will remain after I power it back on. Overall, just need to read the manual, program to the setting you want, then it works perfectly. I totally recommend it to other users.
