Product Description Canon Pixma IP100V Photo Printer desertcart.com desertcart.com Product DescriptionCanon's stylish iP100 Mobile Printer travels with you, delivering outstanding photo print quality wherever you are. Thanks to a blazing sprint speed, you can have a beautiful 4 x 6 inch print in less than a minute. The iP100 is perfect for traveling photographers, vacationers making their own post cards, businessmen who need to make the perfect color presentation on the road, and anyone else who wants a high-quality print anywhere. Outstanding Prints from a Tiny Device At a compact 12.7 x 2.4 x 7.2 inches (WxHxD) and weighing in at a scant 4.4 pounds, the iP100 is a rugged, attractive device that is easy to slip into your briefcase or traveling bag. You can further increase the portability by adding the optional car adapter or battery kit. Don't mistake compact for low-quality. The iP100 produces spectacular photos at 9600 x 2400 dpi. Canon's patented print head with 1,856 precision nozzles ejects ink at droplets as small as 1 picoliter for incredible photo realism and accuracy. Together with the 5-color ink system, you are ensured the highest quality output. All without a long waiting: a photo lab-quality 4 x 6 inch borderless print takes about 55 seconds. For printing documents, the iP100 can print black-and-white documents at up to 20 ppm and color documents at up to 14 ppm. Print from Macs and PCs and Directly from Cameras The Canon PIXMA iP100 is compatible with Windows Vista/XP/2000 and Mac OS X v 10.2.8 to 10.5.x, connecting via a USB interface. Additionally, it also has a built-in IrDA interface and an optional Bluetooth interface, letting you print wirelessly from a PC, PDA or camera phone. The printer also supports the PictBridge interface for connecting compatible digital cameras and printing photos directly -- without a PC. There is no need to worry that you weren't first able to touch up a photo when printing directly from the camera; Canon's Auto Image Fix lets you automatically correct for exposure, color, brightness, and contrast. The Canon PIXMA iP100 photo printer is backed by toll-free technical support and a 1-year limited warranty with InstantExchange program. What's in the Box iP100 mobile printer, document kit (quick start guide, leopard information sheet, easy setup instructions, setup software & user's guide CD-ROM, user guide), ink cartridges (one black, one color), AC adapter, power cord, print head, bundled media MP-101, sample media PP-201. Review: My Travel Buddy - I purchased this printer when I was going to be on the road for about 3.5 weeks, and needed to be printing lots of documents and shipping labels. I had an older HP mobile printer, which decided one day to stop printing and would not be fixed with any amount of customer service. So, having an excellent experience with my current Canon printer, a Pixma MG8120 (superb product!), I decided to go with Canon instead of HP for my new mobile printer. Also to note: HP ink isn't archival (photos will fade over time), and the black is dye-based, not pigment-based like Canon's black. Pigment won't run like dye would if it gets wet, so Canon has the advantage here. With shipping labels, this is especially important. I was very impressed with the ease of set-up, and the excellent print quality. It also churns out the pages pretty quickly, even at the high-quality setting. I haven't yet printed photos (I use my Pixma for that), but for high-quality color documents and text, it has performed flawlessly. It's very compact also. My one complaint is that you must buy the Canon wireless bluetooth accessory separately, and it costs around $40. So far, I've only used a usb cable to connect to my laptop for this reason, but it's not really a big deal for me. There is also an optional battery which would be useful if you work in the field away from power outlets. Bottom line: this printer is a quality product, perfect for travel, has performed flawlessly for me, and prints great-looking documents. It's my second Canon printer, and I've been 100% satisfied with both. A good buy! Review: Road Warrior Needs a Printer - I travel about 30 out of 52 weeks a year. When I go on vacation, I go nowhere, or within a 2 hour drive by car. Anyway, I travel a lot for the company I work for, and when I visit manufacturing sites, they have a guest internet hook-up, but if I want to print anything, I'm always on the other side of their firewall, so I was having to transfer stuff to a memory stick, then go beg people to print it out. I decided to go shopping for a portable printer, and this one seemed to be getting good reviews. I own a Canon Pixma 9500 Pro, and a Canon Multifunction IP530, and both have performed flawlessly. Because the iP100 was a portable printer, I was concerned about print quality, and robustness of the materials, but so far I am really impressed. I was also concerned about weight, but this thing weighs less than some laptops and more than others. I have a BUILT computer sleeve for my old 13" laptop, and the iP100 slips into it like it was made for it. I throw it into my carry-on roller-bag, then take the printer and my backpack to work with me. Curiously, this Pixma is advertised as a photo printer, but for me, it is a way to printout e-mails, expense reports, etc. As with my other Canon printers, I can set the default print quality as 'Fast' rather than 'Standard" thus saving lots of ink. I just finished two expense reports in my hotel room and printed them out for mailing, so I won't have to bug a fellow employee tomorrow. Negatives - it will only handle legal/letter/A4 (European letter)and smaller - e.g 4 X 6 Photo prints, but nothing larger than the letter/legal. For me, that's ok. I have a few 11 X 17 documents, but in a pinch, I can shrink them to letter/legal size easily. Print speed is about as fast as my $600.00 printer, and the quality is quite impressive as well. This printer is kinda of like finding that rare pair of jeans that fits so well, you don't even want to take them off! It is still new, so no stats to report on ink tanks. Two tanks total - one black, and one a tri-color tank. Canon even throws in a pack of 4 X 6 Glossy print paper. Oh, this printer is AC only, no battery pack, but the transformer will handle foreign currency - just remember to take the right plug adapters. G-Man signing off.

DO NOT BE A CHEAP-SKATE LIKE I WAS....BUY THE CANON BU-30 BLUETOOTH ADAPTER!!!
You can argue that the printer SHOULD work perfectly with ANY adapter. You can argue that the printer SHOULD come with wireless or the Canon adapter SHOULD come with the printer. That's not the case. DEAL WITH IT....DON'T BE LIKE I WAS....don't buy generic Bluetooth adapters and try to figure out how to make them work with the device...they WON'T. The Canon PIXMA iP100 Mobile Photo Printer works perfectly. It's a fantastic device that is compact enough to fit inside my briefcase and excellent enough to create beautiful prints of documents or photographs. The device is absolutely incomparable and will make you the envy of those around you. As a criminal trial attorney, this is really going to make my life in the courtroom so much easier. It works seamlessly with my Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using the Printhand App....BUT BUY THE CANON ACCESSORIES!! STOP BEING CHEAP....I would give this device 5 stars if it came with the Bluetooth wireless already installed within the device...Canon needs to fix this for its future compact printers. Whatever idiots got together in their committee and thought it would be fine to sell this printer as is without the battery attachment I had to buy and the Bluetooth wireless adapter don't know a single thing about building customer excitement and loyalty. They did a great disservice to this excellent device.
