Grillaholics HEAVY Grill Mat

I don’t normally provide feedback on products but making an exception this time. This is hands down the best grill mat due to its high temp capability and most importantly sturdiness. It is easy to clean with soap and water and if anything is sticking use a plastic scrapper. All other mats I’ve tried are inferior to these.

If easy clean up is more important to you than the grate lines on your burger and meat, this will work for you! I was tired of the intense clean up after the use of my grill.So I decided to give these grill mats a try. They work great, especially if you like to add cheese on your burgers at the end. Before the cheese would melt and drip between the grates, on the grates etc. Here all stays in place and no precious cheese is lost! That goes for onions,too. Much easier to grill as well as other veggies or smaller grill items. But there are two down sides. One is that you don't get distinguished grill marks. You get some but very light. And with burgers, and that probably goes with other meats, you get a lot of juice excess. I keep a paper towel handy to soak that up vs having it run in between the grill grates. This another reviewer recommended ( before I bought the product I red what others had to say about it) and I agree. I also got the mat that handles up to 600 degrees F. All in all I am happy with this product!

This works great for for vegetables and small or floppy items. HOWEVER, read the directions. The main direction that is missed is that the mat should be 7 inches above the flame! Otherwise it can melt even with a low flame. A great many grillers do not have 7 inch flame clearance, therefore there will be some disappointed grillers (see the 1 Star reviews.). The maker has now included a "Read this first" that gives this instruction. By the way, the warranty does not covered melted mats. The second main direction is do not use chemical cleaners, otherwise the mat looses its not-stick ability and also becomes stiff. I don't have 7 inches of flame clearance so I use it over a turned off burner on one side which is esy as I have three burners. Customer service is prompt.

Over the years I've used several different brands of mats. The were all of limited value because they fell apart after a few uses. The Grillaholics mat lasts a long tome, I keep a few for the home BBQ and more in our camping trailer for the [portable BBQ. They also come in handy for cooking on the yucky campground grates. Why use a mat? They arte much easier to clean than disassembling the BBQ to clean the drippings and burned on sauce. Again, the other mats are sometimes difficult to clean. These mats are easy. I highly recommend the Grillaholics mats.

Love these mats!!! We grill almost every night and use them every time. They clean up & store away with ease. We have a large grill one mat works perfectly for a few items. However, when we need to use both mats they don't quite cover the whole grill area. So we just push the two mats together and center on the grill. Works great as long as what we are grilling doesn't go past the mat. The two mats together leave about an inch or so at each side of the grill. I would recommend these mats and would purchase them again.

I have been using these two mats nearly weekly since buying them last December. Normally I don’t grill during the winter, but with these it’s a snap. I always hated to grill meat because of the constant flare ups and then the awful scraping of the grates afterward. But with these there are no flare ups and cleanup is simple. That’s the good news — no, that’s the great news! The not so great news is that they are slowly shredding. You can see the unraveling that has started in the picture. I was told these are guaranteed for life so I am hoping the sellers are reading this and are willing to replace them before the heavy grilling season begins. I have had cheaper versions in the past and they usually don’t last more than few weeks. These have been in use for nearly five months.

I got this and used it the first time last night to grill burgers. I like to mash my burgers while cooking but can’t generally because they crumble and stick to the grates. Not with this! I was able to flatten my burgers with my spatula and they don’t stick and got good char and grill marks. And didn’t have a mess on my grill to clean up afterwards. I like it!
