As I've shared in other reviews, what's great about Super 7 that it allows someone who appreciates the art and craftsmanship of vintage toys to experience it personally when figures that are hundreds or thousands of dollars and out of reach for most. I am new to collecting, and I started with Playmates figs, which I still love, but it seems like everything I'm inspired to own all seem to be Super 7. My first was the Marusan and metallic wave sets, but I'm working my way through the Ultimate series, and I had to start with the green metallic Godzilla! Wrestling now with whether I go in-box or out. They don't make it easy, because their packaging is totally next level. Super 7 totally gets us. In my photo, my Shogun Ultimates share a shelf with my Hideki Matsui signed ball. If you know, you know! 😁

This is, in the main, a ridiculously wonderful toy and I so appreciate that Super 7 enfleshed the more vibrantly coloured movie poster version of Space Godzilla. He is so wonderfully heavy; I don't know why I like that so much but I do. His texture is wonderful. The colours are exquisite, less heavy and more jubilant in real life than in the photos (which I was suspecting and hoping would be the case). The hands come off maybe even a little too easily, to be switched up with their spares. The head, on the other hand, was quite hard to get off and when I put the other one on, it felt hard to get it secured as tightly as the original one had been. The tail was quite difficult to attach and didn't end up attaching as flush to the body as with Super 7's wonderful large Blazing Godzilla. The paint job is exquisite but for a few sadly noticeable white specks of paint out on their lonesome on the blue tail. This toy arrived in a box that almost looked as if it had been damaged from the inside, because the outer cardboard top of the box was smooth and pristine as if never bent or pushed in, yet the inside plastic packaging housing the toy had been warped as if crammed down from above (see photo); this corresponded loosely to a small hole punctured on the front of the box (see photos). I am not sure if the problem was in the way the manufacturers inserted the inner packaging into the outer box, or whether it was a problem with the way the toy was shipped, so I thought I should include the issue here. In any case, even though the cramming caused Godzilla to bend his head at a weird angle (see photo) the toy was unharmed when I got it out of the package. The crystalline diorama from the inside of the box was salvageable too.
