How "subtle" are these "notes of maple"? I would prefer my maple syrup to taste like maple syrup.

This soft golden shade of maple syrup is the best that I've ever tasted and if your fussy and you must be or you wouldn't be using real maple syrup. I know because I am one fussy pancake eater too! A truly delicious pancake doesn't need syrup but is so hard to find.

All maple syrup is pasteurized - because the only way to make maple syrup from raw maple sap is to thoroughly cook it at temperatures much higher than pasteurization temperatures. It is cooked for hours and hours. There is no way maple syrup is ever not pasteurized because of this process required to make it. It takes gallons and gallons of sap to boil down to a very small amount of maple syrup.

What do you mean by 1% Grade A?

It was a typo in description. Shb 100% grade A..apparently Amazon needs some proofreaders.

On the label,it says a serving size is 27 total carb
