I have always been very into body care and have tried from multiple different regions on how others exfoliate. I am not huge into wash rags due to the subjected nature of cleanliness of it and having to grab a new one every time and having to start to do laundry otherwise you will get a moldy rag is a big no no for me since I am a lazy girl who does not do laundry every day and I’m especially not doing it for a wash rag. I wanted something a tad bit more gentle than the Korean exfoliating pads and this is why I had gone head and gotten an African Net Sponge. This felt absolutely wonderful on my skin, it still had the good scrub but not making my skin raw/overly exfoliated but also didn’t create that “squeaky clean” feeling which if you know about skin care is also a big no as it means you over-cleansed. it created a wonderful sud and lather with my body wash with a lesser amount than I typically use, and it looks like this item will last me a long time since the quality of it is excellent. I read in other comments it had a chemically smelled upon taking it out and I had not noticed anything, the size of it is waaay more then enough and it has a good thickness to it. This is definitely something I am more comfortable using a couple of times a week before I do my big everything shower once a week where I use a kessa to REALLY exfoliate and get all the dead skin. Highly recommend, I gotten my fiancé his own as well because I raved about this item and I will continue to rave about it. Also huge plus for the travel bag as well because I just use plastic bags for when I travel and this is very demure and polite. 💅🏻

Color will fade when you need a new one so don’t have to set a calendar date and be afraid you’re throwing away one you could’ve used for another month or so. No smell. Good quality. Little uncomfortable at first since you won’t be used to it but after that it feels amazing. Just because you don’t see dead skin coming off doesn’t mean it’s not. This is an efficient way to gently exfoliate every day (depending on how much pressure you put on your body). Lathers up better than any and everything so A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY. Overall amazing product and I will never be going back to a loofa or rag.

Well I’m not sure how long it’s been now, maybe two or three years since I bought this lmao. Still got it so that should tell you how good the quality it is. Not soft but not hard at all. Great for scrubbing and back washing. Easy to rinse out after shower and doesn’t hold moisture so you don’t have to worry about odor or mold if you leave it there overnight.

These are amazing! No strange odor. Material feels very nice. Size is great and can wash every inch of my body. Super easy to use. Bought these after my daughter had spine surgery and needed a way to help her be independent and be able to fully shower herself, including washing her back. This is perfect and very versatile

AFRIKI African Net Sponge it's good for getting your body clean and I mean clean the grip is good the quality is good it's also very sensitive to your skin no odor the appearance is nice and the durability is also good

Very easy to use, and long and stretchy, good for getting those hard to reach spots, great for exfoliating. Easy to clean, drys fast, so no mold or smelly build up. I did get one with a hole in it, looks like it's missing a knot, but still works great.

I heard about an African sponge in a comment on Tic tok. Someone from there recommended it. I decided to give it a try. I’m absolutely in love with it! Highly recommend it to anyone who tends to have sweating underarms! It scrubbed so well under neath it without me scrubbing hard. My skin feels so darn clean and soft! It’s worth the $10. No need to put so much soap on the sponge, it lather so much. I won’t be going back to a loofah anymore! Try it, it’s worth it!

This is the 3rd one I have purchased, because I bought one for my sister and one for my Mother after using mine for awhile. I was looking for an alternative to the shower poufs I've been using for years because the quality is so terrible they fall apart in a few weeks and aren't very exfoliating, also not getting a good lather from them after the first few uses. I found out about African Net Sponges and then started going down the rabbit hole on finding an authentic GOOD one and not just some cheap net that frays, melts, rips or is a scratchy mess. Afriki is not only authentic and made of the right material, it is affordable and a black woman owned business! I was beyond thrilled to find a quality product AND support the Black community and WOMEN! The packaging (original bag l, not the new tube) had loads of detailed investing information on the history of the product, I really enjoyed the deep dive into the culture behind what I was buying. The variety of colors is fantastic and ..... My skin is significantly smoother since using this, and I can easily scrub down my back and other hard to reach areas. There is absolutely no signs of this thing degrading or falling apart yet. I am so happy with my purchase and will continue to support this business as much as I can, even if my sponge lasts 1-2 years!

Splendid cleaner. Just be careful not to scrub yourself to hard and with force to avoid feeling of discomfort and sharpness. I realized I used to use loofahs that would require heavy and forceful scrubbing to get the desired cleanliness. But this does the job I'm half and energy and effort. Truly sturdy.

I'm never going back to regular shower puffs again. This truely exfoliates your skin and reaches all those hard to reach areas on your back. Hands down the best find.

It also came with a waterproof bag to store the product in when traveling. The material feels amazing and it has knots on, so you know it's the real deal. It lathers easy and my skin has never felt so soft. 10/10 would recommend, the length is perfect for reaching hard to reach areas like the back.
