Jewelry Box Coloring Book: Published in Sweden as "Smyckeskrinet" (Hanna Karlzon)

This is a beautifully made, intermediate coloring book. I wouldn’t recommend it for children as it is pretty detailed but it’s really pretty. The pages are made of good quality paper and I like that it’s hard covered. I’ll probably buy another one eventually!

I own three of these coloring books created by this author. The pictures are wonderful and sometimes very detailed. My family love the pages I’ve colored and said they look like works of art. I couldn’t have done such a good job without Ms Karlzon’s lovely drawings. The price was excellent and the quality of the book is excellent too. This was a great purchase.

Just as beautiful and original like her other books. Same clean creative drawing style. Complex and simple subjects. This is clearly a book made with love for adult colorists. Good paper, binding and hardcover as always. Coloring pencils, gel pens, posca markers (India ink) and pastels are welcome. The girls are adorable and while I’m coloring them, in my mind, they are always queens, princesses, warriors, divas… Equally delightful are the kittens, dogs, birds, mice, butterflies and bugs that inhabit these pages. I share with you some of my colorings done on my copy of the Swedish edition book. Every time Hanna launches a new book I say it’s my favorite! Paper quality, book binding quality, original drawing quality … I love Hanna Karlzon. All hard cover books, both the English and Swedish versions, I have both. The books take all mediums, but be sure to use gesso if you like watercolor mediums, helps with curling paper. The paper is thick, and off white. Very very detailed drawings, lots of gems, flowers, animals and big faces!!!

The artist is from Sweden and the pictures are detailed so if you like highly detailed and beautiful pictures, BUY THESE!!! 🤍🫶🏻

If the images were only printed on one side this would be 5 stars. However as they are printed on both even with the thick high quality paper, you may get issues with color transferring to pages that lay together or if you use gel pins with bleed through on reverse image. There are a few images that go across both pages to be complete and because it is bound it is a bit difficult to color where the pages meet at the binding.a f The images are wonderful and unique. While I personally prefer smaller scale, more complex images, these are without question a blast to color. There are quite a few "people" in the images so if you don't care to color real people you may not care for this one. There are also a few birds, cats and dogs as well as other animals.

Hanna Karlzon recently changed publishers. I wanted one of her original large coloring books because the newest one, "Midnight Masquerade", is significantly smaller in dimensions and shorter in content. It's also a bit more expensive despite its comparatively plain binding. The US edition of Beautiful "Jewelry Box" does not disappoint. It has something for anyone who's a fan of lavish woodland fantasies, Nordic mythology and the regal Downton Abbey genre. I'll color photocopies of the gorgeous illustrations and leave the gold-trimmed, hardcover book intact. It arrived a day ahead of schedule, carelessly thrown into an unpadded carton that was much too large. The book was packaged in a clear plastic bag, but its lower front corner was damaged from banging around in the box.

a quality hard back book beautiful images and a nice size unlike her newest book that really disappoints...this one will be such a joy to color and the images are a nice size some the spaces are easier to color

I see why these books are so popular. hard cover and really good thick paper with lots of tooth that makes for great layering and blending. These pics have a lot of jewels and crystals.. hence the name jewelry box.. as well as flowers and faces. Lots of detail and lots of variety. I am really enjoying this book and will buy more from this artist for sure.
