The lights were perfect for my new plant cabinet!! Perfect length (2ft), perfect way to connect them together so that there is only one plug, and perfect installation because they are magnetic and attach without any hardware (included but didn’t need)! I was worried and figured I’d have to return them, but they were just Perfect!!! Oh and very affordable!!! ❤️

After MUCH frustration trying to find effective lights for my BioActive reptile habitats that didn’t cost hundreds of dollars, I came across these. The plants in my habitats started doing SO MUCH BETTER that I bought more sets for my aquariums, houseplants and as a gift for someone who I built a snake BioActive Vivarium for. “Hobby specific” lights are LUDICROUSLY expensive. I absolutely refused to pay $400 for a Jungle Dawn light. These Barrina lights are slim, lightweight, have a beautiful hue even underwater, are linkable and my plants are growing like crazy. and OMG they end up being like 10 bucks apiece?! Sign me up!! In addition to all that, the company sends you multiple options for different sized links to attach them and sends you multiple options for mounting them: SUPER STRONG double sided tape that’s more than strong enough to hold the light, zip ties and metal hardware. It’s like if you bought curtains and they sent you every option of curtain rod, too. Really fantastic. So far, ALL of the lights have held up really well to the humid (60-80% humidity in the Vivariums) and sometimes even WET conditions. Some of mine are literally hovering only a couple of inches above moving water. I had one light bar burn out but it was ENTIRELY my fault… the temporary and strong “bubbler” I put in was directly under the light for a decent amount of time and it filled with water. I didn’t notice until it was too late. Again, totally an airhead move on my part. They also have an on/off switch on the power cord AND on each individual light bar, as well. Very smart. 👍 I’m in multiple hobby specific groups on FB where people are CONSTANTLY asking for recommendations on lights. I have a few paragraphs saved in my notes app so I can copy/paste the recommendation for Barrina lights. So, guys, if you have noticed a serious uptick in sales this last year… that would be me! Haha. Ive recommended them a gazillion times to Vivarium and aquarium enthusiasts. All around EXCELLENT product. Effectiveness, value for the money, durability… everything. I cannot recommend them enough! Buy. These. Lights!

Excellent lights! Easy to install and good value for the price. My plants love them! Also, they don't get hot like the first set I bought. Stay cool after running for 12+ hrs.

These lights are affordable yet work exceptionally well just know that they are not magnetic and depending on your cabinet and set up you might need to buy some extensions. Great size and very bright the connections fit perfectly to the lights without any issues.

These lights work, but they are weaker than the marketing might suggest, so make sure you understand your use case before buying. Based on PAR meter measurements, they are best suited for germination or very young seedlings, not for stronger vegetative growth unless placed very close to the plants. In my setup I repurposed them strictly for germination trays where they perform adequately. To reach useful PPFD levels they need to be mounted only a few inches above the canopy. The physical design also has some drawbacks. The linking cable between lights is quite rigid, which makes it difficult to hide or manage cleanly if you hang the lights using chains. The listing suggests you can link multiple lights together, but the included cables only allow linking about four vertically. Beyond that, you’re forced to arrange them horizontally. That said, the company was very good to work with. They were responsive and professional when I reached out with questions about the product. Overall, these lights can work for propagation or seed starting, but for the price I expected stronger output or a more flexible mounting system.

My husband mounted them under a console table in the living room. It is all 4 lights for my Hoya/ Peperomia and they all have been very happy. Each light has a on off switch on it and if you connect them there is a single oh off switch for all of them as well. Very easy, my 4 year old turns them on every morning. It does come with adhesive if you don't want to or can't drill. It comes with short connectors to connect each together or you can connect via a long cable. It also comes with 2 power cords so you do not have to mount them all together. It's pretty customizable. There is no timer, just on off switches. I appreciate switches more than buttons. As someone who experiences frequent enough power outages it can be frustrating to have to turn the lights back on. That is not the case with these.

These Barrina T5 grow lights have been a great addition to my indoor plant setup. They provide plenty of bright, full-spectrum light, and my plants have responded well since adding them. They’re especially helpful during the winter months or in areas that don’t get enough natural sunlight. Installation was simple, and the included mounting options make it easy to place them under shelves, cabinets, or grow racks. The lights are slim, lightweight, and don’t take up much space while still providing good coverage. They run cool, use little energy, and are a great value for the price. If you’re starting seeds, growing herbs, or keeping houseplants healthy indoors, these lights are definitely worth considering.

I absolutely love these grow lights. I’ve now purchased four separate packs because they work so well. They’re very easy to connect, and the individual on/off switches plus the main plug-in switch make them super convenient to use. These lights have made a huge difference in my indoor growing setup and have helped me successfully turn my vegetable seeds into healthy, abundant seedlings. Overall, they’ve been reliable, effective, and easy to set up—I highly recommend them for anyone starting seeds indoors.

Easy to assemble and functions well as a grow light. I liked them so much I bought a second set. I have plants in very low-light conditions and these are keeping them happy for multiple weeks now. The light itself is a pleasant warm white, not disturbing or distracting. Assembly is very straight-forward. The modular design is very useful. I glued (using the double-sided sticky foam included in the box) 4 of them in a series to the bottom of shelves in a shelving unit, then two more to a different shelving unit (each box comes with 4). There is one reasonably long cord with an on/off switch for the entire series, and each light can be turned off separately using a switch on the light itself, which is a nice feature. The glue did come off once causing a light to fall but overall they are very solidly attached. The box comes with zip-ties and hooks you can screw in, haven't tried those. Keep in mind that the cords that go between the lights are rather short: they work for standards shelves about 12" apart, but anything longer than that you will need to buy separate longer extension cords. I was able to buy these on amazon and used them for larger shelves with bigger plants. There is no timer (review asked for a timer function review?). But you can buy one that plugs into the wall if you want.

these work amazing. have been using them for growing year round in the winter, and for helping start seedlings in the spring. very little power draw. only thing I recommend it getting a timer so you don't have to keep turning them off. plenty of options for lengths as well. will buy again, when theses eventually die off. eventually.
