Chocolate

I've been using this for about 3 weeks now and really like it. It's cheap, decent quality, and does the job. The tub was fully sealed unlike some reviewers. I bought the chocolate flavour. It's actually quite nice and a lot better tasting than most powder shakes. Not sure how those who are complaining about the poor mixing are blending theirs, but I use my Nutri Ninja blender and it mixes great. If you don't drink it fairly quickly you do get a little sediment at the bottom (and I mean a little) but a few swirls of your drink container and it's fine. It's easy to get down. I weighed it out and find 4 flat scoops in 500ml of water gives you the 125g you need for 468 calories and 30g of protein. If you wanted to to use 500ml of whole milk instead then that's going to give you an additional (approx.) 300 calories and 17g of protein. So it really depends on how many surplus calories you're needing to start gaining. I've been doing a lot of cardio recently so I have found this gainer actually just keeps my weight consistant - which is great. I know if I wasn't doing cardio then I would definitely have gained weight. I currently have one shake a day but I may increase that to two soon. I expect to see a gain then (will let you know). Remember that this is a food supplement to add surplus calories and protein to your diet. Not some miracle powder. It does what its designed to do. Bar that, I've experienced no ill side effects. No bloating or excessive gas. So no complaints from the other half. If I suddenly go blind or grow an extra testicle in a few weeks I'll let you know. All in all I'm happy with it and think it's great value. I'll definitely be buying another tub!

Nice taste , delivery excellent, value for money

I've taken this product sometime about 6 months and an I've gain weight very slowly with each month without I've haven't really changed my diet or anything like that. I been really working out in the gym average about 5 days weekly and some light sessions in my home. I'm 6,3 tall and I find it very hard to get weight I've a very high metabolism so you can guess I'm slim built weighing 12 half stone when I started now I weigh nearly 14 stones which I'm very happy. I've really bulked up so yes it does work as for going to the toilet personally I've haven't had any issues an I drink at least 2-3 times a spend over course of the day . I prefer using water to milk but that's my personal preference. I'm for now very satisfied with the delivery having no issues whatsoever from amazon and hopefully it will remain plus there is a refund policy if anything goes wrong....... The product is not the best for teasing product in the world so please bear that in mind so had some Cadbury hot chocolate 🍫 as mixing others things into or blending.... Personally I don't have any issues with that really good.......if I'm honest this is for people who find it difficult very hard to gain weight and have a high metabolism and want to keep up with the weight gained the price is absolutely brilliant the taste is rubbish overall it works if you put in the effort in the gym etc etc..... 4 stars

Works very well, gained 4 kg in 2 weeks thanks to this product and 2 hours of workout. Still increasing in weight and mass

I bought this 5kg tub of protein because it looked like good value for money. Post workout I was excited to tuck into my new chocolate flavoured protein. However, upon opening the large tub I was struck with a quite bitter plastic smell from the actual protein. My first thought was that the protein had gone off so I checked the packaging and was told that it wouldn't go off until June 2023. Nonetheless I proceeded to fill my shaker with the recommended amount of protein and water. I gave it a good shake and took a sip, it tasted very sweet with not much chocolate flavour. The texture was also very gritty. I doubled the amount of water, hoping to better the situation. Despite my best shaking efforts, the grittiness was still apparent. After thinking that I had finished the less than enjoyable protein, I noticed that there was still a sludge of unmixed protein at the bottom of my shaker - I have never witnessed this before with other brands. Furthermore, an hour after consumption the protein gave me a headache and my stomach did not feel well. Whether the protein batch was just bad or whether it's simply not a good brand, I can't be certain. But from fear of receiving the same sort of protein, I will not be finishing my 5kg tub and I will not be ordering this again.

It's cheaper because you are only getting 22 grams of protein per 100g - basically two full scoops of protein powder is only 22g of protein whereas most other companies two scoops would be 40-50g of protein. It mixes well and easily with water and the chocolate flavour doesn't taste to bad but TWO FULL SCOOPS for only 22 grams of protein is to much powder to ingest!

Comes with scoop, it was actually buried in the protein powder. Amazing quality great size

Been using this product for years... Started at £25 about 7 years ago obviously due to British pound going down in value the price has risen. Still a good price. High carb shake with minimul sugars. I have bought similar products from Holland and Barrett and The sugar content is half the carb intake. I went from 10st to 17 on this in few years I have been taking. I bulk in winter and this helps... after a high calorie breakfast I also down one of these. People say it doesn't go well with water. No protein shakes you will ever take will taste well with water. I use 350ml water 250ml milk and it tastes good! I did a bulk last year I was 15.5st and went upto 18.5 by summer. I gained 1st extra in muscle. I went down to 16.5 off bulk and stayed at that weight even on The cut. I have around ,18% body fat. 22in winter. Also buy serious protein to add that extra 25g to the protein intake. 1.5-2g of protien per kg of body weight. If you not making gainz then you probably not doing this. This product has helped me a lot through out the years and I stand by serious protein and serious gainz to make my gainz.

Item packaging inadequate. Two of two containers were broken upon receiving, took 30 minutes to clean the mass amount of protein powder and 30% of the product was binned.

Good product and value for money, but let down by wastage in transport.

Thought I’d try a different protein powder and I’m sure it will do the job, But it does not mix well at all and there is very little in the way of chocolate taste. In fact it doesn’t really taste that good as you can taste more of the oat based ingredient. Find a different protein powder to buy and I’ll be going back to my usual one.
