Cup-Holder makes the purchase entirely worth it. Give that designer a raise.
Alright, so I got the desk without all of the extras so just the base $300 one, it's L-Shaped and yes it goes up and down, the desk itself is definitely my favorite desk I have ever owned, giving me plenty of room and space for probably up to 3-4 monitors, I have two monitors one 32" and one 42" one and still plenty of space for another or something else even with my computer up on the desk. --- The Cable management system is in a prime position, I'd recommend a surge protector with an extra long cable to rest in the spot where the cord management box sits. Just because raising it to the top can be a little tight. I'm 5'9 so I never have to go all the way up, but definitely worth while. The Desk overall looks nice enough with it's fancy carbon fiber display, but the wood is not high quality but it is good enough quality that you won't really care especially for an only $300 price tag, I saw some stuff at Costco that wasn't as nice for $500-600.Pros: This is the best cup-holder on a desk I've ever seen. I never thought I'd be happy about a cup-holder but honestly, I may never buy another desk again just because of how great the placement and design of this cup-holder is, absolutely phenomenal, if they ever stop making this desk, I may just rebuild this one time and time again just for this sweet sweet cup-holder... Desk is cool too, no issues yet, I know some people have said they have issues after a month or two with it lifting, I'll check back if I have issues and follow-up with support and get back to y'all if I have issues. The Headphone holder is neat too, I have my Meta Quest 3 with both controllers on one hook, and my Arctis Pro Wireless series on the other hook and looks clean and holds them well, even with going up and down.Cons: The Directions could be better, luckily I've built a lot of furniture so didn't experience many issues but had to re-look at a few parts a few times to make sure everything was lined up correctly, not to mention had a heck of a time trying to get one of the lifting cylinders installed it was just a little bit too big, but I was finally able to get it in there and everything worked out, I'd highly recommend two people(just for the beginning steps due to balance, I did it by myself but the second person would probably have saved me a few curses), a really good philips screw driver you'll use it a lot, and the screws are probably going to get damaged if you use power tools, so definitely a hand screw driver. Probably a hammer if you need to knock down the cylinder a little bit to get it into place, I did a small tap and it was enough to get it so I could get it into position.Tl;dr: The Desk is great, I love it, cup-holder is one of a kind 5 stars for that alone, make sure you are using the right screws when building it, recommend hand tools only, 2 people would be ideal but I did it by myself in like an hour by balancing certain parts on others.

Better than expected quality and very well made.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this desk. Very sturdy- even at Max height. My one observation was that amazon recommended the single mount / Dual Monitor Stand which I ordered so i wouldn't have to use monitor stands for my 2 monitors. The mount wasn't really compatible with this desktop due to the solid back wall and low depth of the upper desk if i mounted it on the front side. As such, I had to drill a hole in the upper desktop to mount it. But because this desk top (including the upper shelf) is made of a solid wood material, it holds the weight beautifully. VERY STURDY! I was a bit skeptical about the soft sided drawers, but they are actually much more sturdy than i expected and i really like them. Even bought a side table with a similar design. The upper desk has edges which are great. Variations in carpet padding thickness and chair pad gave my desk just a wee bit of height variance. This desktop has a very sturdy outer edge which keeps things from rolling off - even on the upper shelf, so nothing gets pushed off the back of it accidentally. Note: Not having had a desk like this in the past, i would recommend you know exactly where you want to put your monitors on this desktop. I originally thought i could put them in the corner or even on the short arm, but ultimately put them on the longer side due to the size of my monitors. I ended up drilling a mounting hole for this monitor stand in the upper shelf deck - but i can honestly say that the sturdy construction materials are holding things PERFECTLY. No instability at all. The wood finish on this product is really beautiful (i chose the brown wood) as well. To me, this is a premium product for the price point. Very easy to set up and I expect it to last a long time. I looked at some more expensive products which were similar in design, and I'm very glad I chose this one.

honest review
Affordable desk that arrived within a few days of ordering.-- Impressive packaging: Several pieces in one box. Items was packaged neatly and clearly labeled. Very impressed with how each piece was neatly placed in a custom-fit, thick, white padding (higher quality than the typical styrofoam). Hard cardboard spacers were used on all four corners to protect the wood pieces from shifting and getting damaged. Kudos to the delivery guy how carried the heavy box with ease.-- Installation: Easy to decipher the pictured instructions that had helpful hints if something didn't fit. Although recommended to have two people to install, I was able to do it by myself. Just be careful flipping the table. Its heavy.-- Hardware: I liked the metal plates used to attach the table top together and the metal braces to attach the hutch to the table top. It's not plastic! Adding the flat metal plates at the ends of the desk wasn't necessary but it added a nice finished look to the desk. Great attention to detail!-- Functionality: The desk raises and lowers at a good speed. No child lock like my previous desk, but feel it's not necessary. Front, back and sides of drawers are hard cardboard-like; covered by a sturdy cloth material. Handles of drawers are metal. Desk is sturdy and a good size. It's feels like one solid piece and it's not too heavy if you need to move it.-- Overall: Extremely happy with this purchase. I was very impressed with the packaging, quality of materials, and the overall esthetic look of the desk.
