I didn't buy this just for my face. I've been using it on my scalp and underarms, and it's worked really well for both. On my scalp, it helped break down the product buildup and flakiness, so my scalp feels cleaner and my hair feels lighter. On my underarms, it exfoliates away the dead skin and residue that were trapping odor, and my pit smell has improved a lot. My underarms also feel smoother. I apply it with a cotton pad a few times a week, not daily. It can sting a little if your skin is sensitive or freshly shaved, so start slow and don't use it right after shaving. Definitely worth it for the price. Would buy again

Believe the hype! It's true! I read about this on BuzzFeed. Then I read through the copious reviews singing this products praises. I have used & continue to use many Ordinary products (hyaluronic acid & niacinamide) and have found that they do a commendable job for the price. So marrying the fantastic reviews with the great brand meant that trying this glycolic acid was a no-brainer. The bottle is substantially larger than the other Ordinary products. The top can be adjusted to dispense the perfect amount of product. The directions say to use a cotton ball or clean hands. I opted for my hands to reduce waste in both product and cotton balls. While the product didn't affect my hands, I can say that I felt a mild tingling on my freshly cleansed face. I felt that there was definitely some positive impact happening! I followed with my favorite retinol, snail serum, and then a PM moisturizer. I repeated this routine for about 3 days when my neighbor remarked how fresh and dewy my skin appeared. Why, thank you! So of course I ran inside after our convo to see what she was seeing...DAAAANG! Now for true and genuine reference, I'm not trying to reverse aging. I might be trying to slow the process but I'm not a cosmetic procedure gal - NOT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG with that!! NO judgement on my part. I have crazy skin after my child was born; cystic acne, melasma, fresh wrinkles and laugh lines. Thee literal and figurative trifecta of facial derm issues 🫩😮‍💨 It is what it is. I should probably see a dermatologist for a retinol Rx but...time and money...I should also be drinking FAR more water. I do use a daily mineral SPF and wear hats when I know I'll have prolonged sun exposure. So when husband remarked (that same day, no less) about how my skin was glowing, I knew that it HAD to be the direct result of this amazing, effective product! It was the only thing I changed! My DEEP forehead wrinkles aren't gone. Steamrolling wouldn't take those bad boys out...but they are definitely softened. And my splotchy melasma? Reduced substantially! The LaRoche Posay Mela B3 didn't reduce the spots like this glycolic acid did (though, in retrospect, this may have helped the absorption of the B3? 🤔) Regardless, I think that this product is a worthwhile try for healthy, glowing skin. ❗️EWG rated this a 3/10 (lower numbers are favorable) on their website, btw! AND, from what I've read, it is safe to use during pregnancy so you know it's a legit product that is safe and effective🫶

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% has been a great addition to my skincare routine. I like that it helps improve the overall texture of my skin and leaves it feeling noticeably smoother and refreshed. It’s also versatile enough to use on areas beyond the face, which is a nice bonus. A little goes a long way, and the bottle lasts quite a while. Definitely a great option if you’re looking for an affordable exfoliating product!

I used this on my face before bed last night and wow! Woke up and my face was noticeable less dry and flakey, softer smoother. I had a massive sudden breakout due to menopausal hormones and I've fighting painful acne and blackheads on my chin. Using Salicylic face was and spot treatment was drying my face and making it looked cracked, angry, flaky,and leather like which was in turn causing my black heads. Added hyaluronic acid to moisturize and it helpped but wasn't enough. The Glycolic acid toner was the trick! My face looks better in one night tha it has in the past two weeks. Sold! I love The Ordinary products!

I’ve been using this for a long while and I love it. It exfoliates and tone wonderfully. It’s not harsh on my skin. It does have a smell but it’s not unbearable and for the effects it’s fine.

This is an amazing product. I use it underneath my armpits and have noticed the change. I use it on my face as well and at first it stings a little but eventually that stunning goes away. Big bottle gets you the best buck for your purchase. Second time buying this and I will keep coming back!

I bought this a while back and was using it and then i had an issue with my face and i thought it was the product. Few months down the road i did a lot of research on improving my sun damaged skin. I went to the Dermatologist and she prescribed a cream for me. $50 for less than an oz. I was using a gentle toner in the interim and saw no difference. I figured since i had this instead of throwing it out I should try it again. Within 1 week of using this twice a day together with my prescription "dark spot remover" it worked to peel 1 layer of dead skin on my face. I had to "rest" my face for about 2 days from all my "harsh" products. It works but if your face starts stinging really bad stop 🛑 and rest it and then start again. It can cause hyperpigmentation. I had some old and new scars on my legs and i started using it together with my prescription dark spot remover also on them. They have now started to "lighten up" a little. My face has a "glow" to it now. I will continue to use this product until my scar dark spot marks are gone and then use it every other day on my face. i have posted pics of my scars on my legs. Hope this helps someone who is suffering the same dilemma.

Ma fille utilise ce tonique à l'acide glycolique depuis peu de temps et constate déjà que sa peau devient de plus en plus belle ! Elle s'en sert pour traiter son acné, localisée principalement sur le visage et dans le dos. C'est un produit actif très efficace pour lisser les imperfections, mais pour que cela fonctionne bien sans abîmer la peau, voici notre retour d’expérience et les conseils essentiels à savoir : Pour l'acné du visage : • La patience au début : Ne paniquez pas si de nouveaux boutons sortent les premières semaines. C’est l’effet de « purge », l'acide fait ressortir ce qui était coincé sous la peau avant de la nettoyer proprement. • Douceur absolue : Il faut impérativement bannir les gommages à grains à côté, sous peine d’irriter la peau et d'aggraver l'acné. Ne surtout pas l'appliquer sur des boutons percés ou à vif pour éviter les brûlures et les taches de cicatrice. Pour l'acné du dos (l'astuce pratique) : • La peau du dos étant plus épaisse, elle supporte très bien le produit. Pour l'appliquer facilement seule, l'astuce est de transférer un peu de lotion dans un petit flacon spray pour pouvoir la vaporiser après la douche sur une peau bien sèche. Les règles d'or indispensables : • Uniquement le soir sur peau propre et sèche (2 à 3 fois par semaine pour commencer, c'est largement suffisant). • Crème solaire obligatoire le lendemain matin ! Ce produit rend la peau très sensible au soleil. Sans protection, vous risquez des taches ou des coups de soleil. En résumé, c'est un produit formidable et très économique pour lutter contre l'acné si on respecte bien son mode d'emploi. Nous recommandons sans hésiter !

This one is the absolute OG of glycolic acid! It’s super easy to apply and gives a noticeable brightening effect without burning or irritating my skin. 🧴✨ Always apply sunscreen after using this! Glycolic acid makes your skin way more sensitive to the sun, so if you skip SPF, your skin will actually end up getting darker instead. ​The only real downside? Man, it is painfully expensive for the wallet... but it honestly works! 😭💸
