So easy to clamp mirrors on- (An inverted Bake Been Tin) ...
JCM-80o Convex unbreakable traffic mirror, diameter 80cm (31"), for road safety and shop security with adjustable fixing bracket for pole 76 mm (2.5") Quality -Attractive - Heavy- and first class manufacture. Most Scrap Yards will have the 2-1/2" posts, to save your money..So easy to clamp mirrors on- (An inverted Bake Been Tin) - placed on top, to make the pole topwater proof. Each installation about 10 minutes, when the pole has been positioned.Bought two of these, originally thought they were too large, but both are ideal. Two dangerous main road junctions. Awkward Council - a hundred disinterested reasons-They wouldn't supply - nor allow the use of a strategic lamp post.1. First Mirror was an "Upside down "Y" junction" -Cars struggle to get up - has two blind - very steep 60 house - residential roads - 6 crashes during last snows. Now a full clear view - Down each road.Pole fixed with 10" Jubilee clips, to 7-foot steel fence, Mirror to one side of Lamppost- ideal in my garden.2. The second Mirror - "Upside down T Junction."A beautiful Lake, 40 car - Car Park, and Breakfast-Lunch Burger Bar.A dangerously steep loose stone 180 Deg- side entrance - leading onto a lethal busy 40MPH narrow bendy treecovered Coach Road. From the Right 40 yards a hidden bend, from the left a clear view. The second Mirror now fixed on the opposite side of the road to a steel pole- at the moment fixed to a tree with bands, to test. Now exiting looking slightly left - the normal view of vehicles from the left, and clearly through the new mirror. No unexpected traffic speeding up from behind. So no accidents or stress. The Mirrors are well made and very attractive - neither sites are distracting. Each mirror legally positioned on private land.We all feel much safer, so sod the Police, and Councils.(Though - In all fairness - Concave Mirrors did take - a little getting used too.)So neither site is 100% perfect - but at least allow us 50+% better, with less danger, than before, for just over £100.Ken(Just a fully satisfied full priced purchaser).

BEST BUY and FITTING TIPS
Prompt service, Good product, good value, works well from the opposite side of the road on a lamp post (we made a bigger mounting bracket). FITTING TIP: The instructions say remove the protective mirror film after fitting, we didn't, realising it would be difficult to remove up a ladder, we removed it before fitting and put a black waste bag over the mirror which we simply tore off after fitting, much easier. The protective film runs under the mirror edging, in our case carefully running the edge of a flat screw driver round the edge scored the film and made it easy to remove cleanly. Too early to say how long the thick plastic case will, survive in strong sunlight and wind, seems strong enough, we've seen the same product in use else here, plastic colour faded a bit but still OK after some years. We would say currently a BEST BUY.

Replacement of my original
bought this to replace my previous mirror, of the same brand, when somebody decided to whack it with a broom. Easy to swap over as I didn't need to replace the whole bracket which was useful. This one has a sun visor on which helps with sun glare and overall seems clearer than my previous mirror. Hope this one lasts a while without the unwanted manual muppet intervention. Really helps me get out of my driveway on a blind corner and saves me jumping out of my car to check it is clear. Invaluable.

Very colourful
Perfectly good mirror but unfortunately the very bright orange plastic back clashed with our paintwork so it had to be returned.

Greatly improves view when parking
I got this convex mirror to improve the view when driving into my garage. I need to be as far over towards the storage racks without hitting them. The installation instructions were a bit confusing because they were geared towards installing a metal loop around a pole. I disregarded this bit of the kit and improvised by drilling screw holes into the wall and attaching the metal plate that way. Once that was done, the rest of the installation was relatively easy. The mirror can be adjusted to move sideways or up and down. Once I had got my desired angle, it does the job nicely.

Compact and well made.
Replaced similar items. Due to proximity to road these are smaller but adequate.

Really good value
I think this is really good value. It was easy to mount and so far has stood up to the weather and remained giving a clear view. I did have a bit of difficulty removing the protective film easily, as it is tucked under the rim of the mirror, but found the best thing was to take out the screws round the outside, to expose the edge of the plastic mirror itself and enable the film to be peeled off cleanly. Do it gently, as the mirror sits on an internal expanded polystyrene support which can get damaged if you are rough with it. Maybe there's some magic way of peeling off the film without this, but I didn't want to scratch the mirror by prodding at it!
