A superb amp, DAC and the latest Bluetooth spec. A top combination.
I've been exploring various integrated amplifiers to enhance my audio setup, and the Aiyima A80 caught my attention with its impressive specifications and affordable price point. I’ve previously owned Aiyima products; the A07 Max and A07 Amplifiers, which are superb sounding, especially at their price point. Build and Design The A80 boasts a compact and sturdy build, measuring 155 x 123 x 41mm and weighing approximately 850g. Its front panel features a vibrant color display with customizable VU meters, adding a touch of retro charm to its modern design. The volume knob feels solid and responsive, doubling as a menu navigation tool. While the display is clear, it might be a bit small for larger rooms. Connectivity and Features One of the standout aspects of the A80 is its versatile connectivity options. It includes USB-C, optical, coaxial, RCA, along with Bluetooth 5.1 support featuring AAC, SBC, aptX, aptX-LL, and aptX-HD codecs. The inclusion of a 12V trigger input allows seamless integration with other components, and the AUX output can connect to an active subwoofer or a second amplifier. Performance and Sound Quality Equipped with the TPA3255D2 amplifier chip and ESS9038Q2M DAC, the A80 delivers clean and powerful sound. It supports high-resolution audio up to PCM 32bit/384kHz and DSD256. The PFFB (Post Filter Feedback) circuitry enhances performance by reducing distortion and improving frequency response. In my listening tests, I would say it is equal to, if not better than than the A07 Max. The A80 provided tight and controlled bass, smooth midrange, and crisp treble. It handled various genres with ease. I have a 2.1 system (see attached picture), which isn’t easy to drive with full range open baffle mids and highs, and a sealed bass box, but it handled all these drivers with ease. The soundstage was immersive, with precise imaging that brought vocals and instruments to life. Bass was tight and controlled. Additional Observations The A80 includes tone controls for bass and treble adjustments, allowing for personalized sound tuning. It also features replaceable op-amp chips, providing opportunities for further customization. I would always recommend op-rolling for tweaking the sound - I’ve tried OPA1612 and MUSES and they all add to the enjoyment. You can find op-amps on Aliexpress for a few pounds from reputable dealers, so it is always worth a look. While the unit can get warm during extended use, it's not excessively hot. The absence of an HDMI input is a minor drawback, but something I personally need. My list of wants for future Aiyima products is Spotify Connect and Wifi, for mobile operation. A high and loss pass filter would also be game-changing. Conclusion The Aiyima A80 stands out as a versatile and high-performing integrated amplifier that offers exceptional value for its price. Its combination of robust build quality, extensive connectivity, and impressive sound performance makes it a compelling choice for both audiophiles and casual listeners looking to elevate their audio experience. I have yet to find an Aiyima product at its price point that isn't a suitable value, and the A80 is currently the pick of the crop for an integrated amp with a superb DAC and one of the latest Bluetooth chipsets. Highly recommended.

Caution if using the Trigger In
This is a great wee amplifier however the documentation could be much better. Had to contact support as the trigger wasn't working and actually locked up my Denon amplifier requiring a factory reset. Up on further testing I found that the trigger in is a STEREO plug despite the standard being a 3.5mm mono plug. Denon specifically state in the manual not to use a STEREO plug but MONO. Plugging in a MONO plug will short circuit the 12v trigger out of Denon when the other end is connected to the Aiyima trigger in. I ended up cutting one of the MONO plugs off and fitted a STEREO plug for the Aiyima trigger in side. The ground was wired to ground on the STEREO plug and the tip wires to the tip of the STEREO plug. The middle ring was left unconnected. Before reconnecting it to my Demon I applied 12v to the MONO plug and the Aiyima A80 did switch on. Sound quality is great for an amplifier this size although the Bluetooth input levels aren't as strong as the rca inputs. Would recommend the amplifier but please take care if you need to use the trigger function.

Give it a go, you'll be surprised!
Looks good on paper, really great specs. That's only half the story. This tiny little box is probably a superhero of the mini amplifier world! This thing rocks but strangely it took a while to get my ear in, right out of the box I wasn't expecting miracles. The amp took about 5 hours to break in and really sing, it first it was a little cold sounding almost thin and cold. But it is worth being patient and giving it a chance to shine. And shine it does. The Bluetooth connection sounds good 👍 but when connected to the PC with the supplied usb lead it really works well. The onboard dac is transparent and lets your music breath and the class d amplifier just sings. I've tried it out with book shelf speakers and large but old Sony floorstanders and it just gets on with it, is capable of skull cracking volume with the 48v 5amp. The remote is a bonus and the onboard display is great, makes tone control adjustments easy along with input selection.

An amazing first Amplifier with DAC and VU meters on a nice screen
I have been a fan of these class D amplifiers for a few years now and mostly they keep getting better and better with each new release. I spotted a few online reviews for this new Aiyima A80 a couple of weeks ago and thought that would make the perfect Christmas toy to play with and I am mostly very impressed. So, in summary what you get with this class D amplifier that makes it different (and better than other similar recent offerings from Aiyima, Fosi Audio, Douk Audio and others) are the display with VU-Meters and a high quality built-in DAC. You also get internal PFFB circuitry which helps guarantee a consistent reference sound signature no matter what speakers you use - I am currently using a mostly pretty hard to drive KEF LS50 Meta's with this A80 and while it gets a little warm when driving this speaker to loud 80+dbSPL - it sounds great paired with a WiiM Ultra which is separately providing Room correction and bass management). The in-built DAC is pretty excellent specifically it is the same ES9038Q2M that is in the WiiM Ultra and other similar high quality DAC / Preamp's so there is no reason ( other than maybe the lack of HDMI ARC inputs ) to feel like you are missing anything with this DAC. But the display is probably the star of the show here with the A80 and while it's small and would be hard to see across a room it works very well. I included a video showing the display showing a few of the VU-Meter options with the WiiM Ultra screen for comparison it works very well. Other features which I do like (and work well with pre-amps / streamers like the WiiM Ultra) are the inclusion of a trigger input (so the A80 will go into standby automatically when not in use), the optical and coaxial inputs also work great with streamers as digital inputs. The USB connection works with my iPhone (and my Macbook) and includes lots of high res connection options - I have included a screenshot. Finally the inclusion of the RCA and TRS inputs as well as bluetooth provide a lovely upgrade path I think for a first time buyer of a class D Amplifier. Maybe start with bluetooth and the RCA, then get a Streamer like the WiiM Mini or WiiM Pro and use their Optical outputs (as both those streamers have poor DAC's so digitally connecting) and you still have the option for balanced inputs (though the TRS input option is less popular balanced connection than the more typical 3-pin XLR's cable inputs). I think you could have the following inputs connected with this little amplifier - turntable via RCA, PC / Mac connected via usb, a streamer like the WiiM Mini via optical or coaxial, your mobile via bluetooth and still have the TRS connection for later updates with some balanced audio equipment. Overall a great and fun amplifier.

Great Piece of kit
I bought this because I've got some Gale Bookshelf speakers, and I've been using a Nobsound little amp to go from USB to Banana plug. It's been good. But the form factor was a bit crap, with the usb coming out of the front and the interference from the static of moving the volume nob. It had done it's time basically. Spent ages looking for something. Found this. Thought sod it, I'll have a punt. Plugged it all in. It powered on. Good Start fired up spotify Cuddly Toy Roachford. Full blast And you could hear it clearly, no distortion, just clear Roachford (you've got your foglights on) It's currently running away at 192Khz massaging my ears. I've spent years listening to the same songs over that nobsound. I can hear the difference over that. honestly, can't complain at the moment. Haven't tried any other inputs. I'll caveat that. but overall first impressions are brilliant.

Aiyima Amp
Great little amplifier, plenty of inputs. Just a pity you have to max the volume to get any response from the vu meters, otherwise excellent product.

Splendid little amps :)
Lovely compact amp that packs a punch with a nice looking display, I got two linked together one showing the twin SWA meters & one displaying the spectrum analyser. They sound splendid wired up to my old 100W AE & Mission speakers & I can run my active/powered sub.

Clear sound. really easy to use. toasty hot when running may require fan.
I'm running these into monitor audio bronze 2 speakers the Bluetooth is spotless haven't tried the other ports . Sounds clear really good clear only bad is it runs like a toaster. If you run a fan on the side it cools down but it is toasty as hell.volume at 50 or 60.sounds I'll add a video

So little, but so big...
I have been a happy user of Aiyima A07Pro (it's going to my teen's bedroom), so I am not new to the D-Class amps party and knew what to expect. I am pleasantly surprised though - the A80 elevates the experience to another level. Sound quality Aiyima, from the times of the first A07, has always impressed with sound quality. Independent measurements of channel separation, distortion and noise level show excellent values, but the load dependency always lurked in the shadows. Fear no more - the post filter feedback loop tackles those as well. In the end you get a pocket amplifier with reference quality. Amplifier has enough precision to drive speakers at a lower volume, but there also is enough punch in this little guy to shake even my relatively big room. Features and quality Not only is the sound excellent, but the overall feel of the amp is great. Build quality is stellar - very nice weight to the unit, good haptics when turning the wheel. The display is big and clear as well, and it can get very bright too. The multitude of inputs is very impressive. You have regular RCA, as well as TRS for symmetrical analogue connection. There is coaxial and optical SPDIF. There is a subwoofer out. There is a good implementation of Bluetooth and my personal best - USB-C. Super Easy to Use with my phone! The most awesome thing is how easy it was to connect from my phone. Less and less phones have analogue audio output and it starts to become a nuisance. Not here - Bluetooth works well and thankfully is not visible unless you select BT as input (the nasty neighbor will not connect to your amp uninvited). I am however super happy how the USB connection worked. I used an ordinary USB-C <-> USB-C cable to connect - and without any fuzz, configuration or going through options - fantastic sound from the speakers. No BT losses, no noises from the cables. The digital sound goodness in all its glory. What not to like? There are a few very minor issues though. Two actually. The menu navigation is a bit awkward: there is no dedicated BACK button, and you have to double-push the volume dial to go back. You don't use it frequently, but when you actually have to, it is weird. Second issue I have is that the display won't turn off completely. You can turn the brightness down from 100% to 10% in 10 steps - so it is not annoying at all. An "auto-off" mode would be nice here though. Summary Overall, the Aiyima A80 is a great little amp that really delivers. It sounds fantastic, looks and feels solid, and has all the connections you could want. It's easy to use, especially with a phone, and packs enough power for serious listening. Sure, the menu could be easier to use and it’d be nice if the display could turn off completely, but those are small complaints. If you want a powerful, great-sounding amp without spending a fortune, the A80 is a smart buy.

Zgodny z opisem
Warto.
