bought this to help apply pesticides and fungicides (neem oil, Potassium carbonate) on plants. haven't seen any foliar burn (apply early morning or night) or adverse affects. don't use it for soap so i can't speak to that side of things. has a smell (like olive oil or coconut oil) but only if you're shoving your face in the bottle. haven't noticed it sticking around.

I use this product for a lot washing dishes, washing my clothes, washing my hands at sinks in the bathrooms and in the kitchen. It has a nice scent and helps. Keep your hands soft in it cleans the only thing I did not like which is not the products fault that I left for three months not realizing the cap was not tight. After the last time I filled one of my containers and when I got back, the product was so thick that it wouldn’t even come out of the bottle I had to add water and it was quite the job to mix it back up to make it a usable product
