I followed the directions and apply a little pressure to the outside and the bleeding stopped in about 5 minutes. But, I leave it in for the recommended 10 minutes to give it more time to clot. Another good thing is it doesn't start bleeding as soon as you remove it which is common with regular tissues or cotton pads.

Are you kidding me? If you have a very slight nosebleed, this might work. However, you had better be psychic and know when the nosebleed will occur because if you wait until it does occur, you are pinching your nostrils with one hand while trying to open this very difficult package to get to the solution. If you have a serious nosebleed like the ones I get, you will go through the entire small package of 6, which you will have to tear open with your teeth while trying to stop the blood flow with your hands.
