Review: Putting joy back into cooking. - This is my second deBuyer pan. Like all other users, once you've cooked with dB, you'll find it hard to cook with other cookware. My first purchase was the Force Blue skillet 28cm which I use for all stir fries including fried egg. It's continual changing patina due to seasoning means it's not much to look at but it conducts heat so efficiently, you must have all your ingredients at hand. Stir fry is so speedy, something I never thought was possible with my Aga hotplate. I bought this country pan for several reasons: higher rim almost double the height of my skillet(acts like a wok) and it has two handles which makes lifting much easier. It is only slightly heavier than my skillet unlike the single handle country pan which is much heavier I believe. And I'm now able to use both at a time and they are also fit to go into the oven. Initial seasoning was very quick and I'm still in the process of building up its patina by using it as much as I can. Washing up with hot water and steel mesh and seasoning it after has become second nature to me now and I just use my stainless steel cookware for acidic sauces. Thanks to deBuyer for making this amazing cookware available on desertcart, and I love how it came packaged in brown paper too!

Non stick after first seasoning, so far has seared beef burgers, stir fry vegetable with tofu, fried rice, fried eggs, ramen/ nabe hot pot. Excellent & wonderful heat distribution...and I’m sure I will use less gas because there is no need to have the flame too high because the pot gets nice and hot... even for searing . The metal is thick & sturdy and definitely won’t warp or dent... and overall feel of excellent quality
