Great taste, great quality
I have bought these several times and the quality is consistent and consistently very good (in my opinion). It tastes exactly the same as other good, tinned ratatouille. It is a reliable addition to a meal if you havenโt time to chop and cook all these ingredients. It is a good second vegetable in a meal, or just tipped into rice where itโs like a sauce. It cooks in a couple of minutes, like baked beans. I like the taste very much - I think it goes best with cold meat and any form of potatoes, ideal to revive the taste of left-overs on Boxing Day where itโs become a family staple for us.

An acceptable "lazy" meal at good value.
Let's get one thing out of the way, this isn't a patch on homemade ratatouille, but like jarred tomato sauce it's a perfectly acceptable mid-week shortcut, something you won't look at with a sinking heart when the weather is foul, you've got the lurgy and neither want to shop nor faff about, and it's packed full of vegetables. This ratatouille is quite sloppy and very heavy on the courgettes, what aromatics there are are on the discrete side while the addition of lemon juice is generous. It's not how I make it at all but it's okay. It makes a nice accompaniment to lamb or pork chops, or spicy sausages, or as a sauce to serve with panisse au four. You can use it as a base with mince for an improvised bake of some sort, or scramble eggs into it Greek style and serve with crusty bread. As a very quick lazy meal add tinned white beans, butter beans for preference, or potato chunks, olives and more spices or herbs of choice (try allspice) and simmer until done and the stew has thickened with the starches. Sprinkle over feta and serve. Feel virtuously full of vegetables and comfort. Not a bad buy at just under a pound a tin.

Fantastic tomato based vegetable dish
Ratatouille is one of my favourite tomato based dishes, an amazing accompaniment to so many foods, from grilled fish such as sardines or mackerel, or with a beef steak or lamb chop. Fantastic as a pasta sauce or even on its own or with most meals as an alternative to where you might normally have some tinned plum tomatoes. If you haven't got the time to make it yourself then I'd say that you shouldn't go wrong with this Epicure Ratatouille Nicoise. I think it is wonderful and is incredible value if you buy it at the right time (it was less than a pound a tin for a dozen tins the last few times I've bought it from Amazon) and unless you have the time and all the ingredients to make it yourself, then warming a tin of this ratatouille is a very reliable alternative to home-made.

Frequently overcooked mush
When these have a firm texture they are enjoyable but on at least 50% of the times I ordered these they are overcooked, mushy and lacking texture so that they are not enjoyable. I have now found an online source for my preferred alternative and so will be switching to them for my orders in future.

Delicious!
One of my favourites of all time full of flavour well worth the money use it as pasta sauce or paella or add to chilli con carne.
