Truly a Fudge Brownie with Nuts!
I've tried David's cinnamon bun bars (FANTASTIC, by the way), so when I was reading the reviews on the other bars I noted what was being said about the Fudge Brownie flavor. I have to agree with what they said about how most other brownie flavored protein bars are a bit dry, not very chocolatey flavored and crumbly....nothing like a brownie....which is why after my first try with other brands, I just quit. If I'm going to treat myself, I want it to be a TREAT, not a "settlement"! I also noted in those reviews what they said about David's Fudge Brownie bars -- that they were actually moist and really did remind them of a brownie -- so, I decided to try them. Just got my box today and had to have one. All I can say is holy guacamole, Batman!!! These things are good!!! Really good!! They actually remind me of the brownies from a local bakery -- not as mushy as my homemade ones, but I've NEVER known anyone to get close to mine. They really are moist, not dry, and they do make you feel like you're biting into a brownie with nuts! The flavor is really good...and I don't mean "diet food" good....I mean you could give one to a kid and they'd be MORE than happy with it. Might even ask for a glass of milk to dunk it in! The flavor is very chocolaty, but not overly sweet (it won't make you're teeth hurt); and, with only 150 calories while giving you a whopping 28 grams of protein you really just can't beat it! Heaven knows how they did it, or how much research and development they had to go through to come up with it, but whatever it was....it was well worth it to those of us on the purchasing end. Wish they had had these back when I was growing up. You might think of it as a bit pricey for a snack for kids, but for the amount of protein and positive benefits it really is a good option. One of these bars and a cup of tea or coffee (a warm beverage) and you'll stay full for quite a while. Can't wait to tell my friends as, being a person of "a certain age", we tend to be short on our protein consumption regularly. So many seniors drink Ensure (suggested by their physicians -- one bottle has 220 calories, 15 grams of SUGAR, and only 9 grams of protein). These bars have that beat in every category, with TRIPLE the amount of protein! Like I said, can't wait to spread the news.

Great protein bars
I like these bars - tasty, sweet, lots of protein for minimal calorie, fat and carbs. Can be dense - chew thoroughly, eat slowly.

Great for filling in protein.
Are they pricier? Sure. Do they taste better and are enjoyable to eat? YES. After eating bricks of other brands, or ones loaded with fake sugar additives, I like the simplicity and higher protein content per bar vs calories. Ordered Fudge, will def be trying other flavors after I eat these.

Perfect chocolate flavor without being too sweet
These are the second David bar flavor I've tried and the Fudge Brownie surpasses the PB chunk by far. Not too sweet and for 28g of protein and only 150 cals, you can't go wrong. Natural ingredients is also something I look out for when choosing a protein bar; otherwise, too many chemicals tear up my gut. I'll continue trying other flavors but so far, these are a keeper

Delicious and Nutritious
After doing my fair share of research on protein bars, I found this was, hands down the best. Best quality protein. Lowest sugar. Tastiest. I've tried the assorted box and this time fudge brownie. Does it taste exactly like a real fudge brownie, no. But there are some times I will eat it as a dessert substitute I don't need to feel guilty about. At 150 calories and low fat, it's pretty much guiltless! I eat them before or after a workout or pack one in my purse when I know I won't be able to eat all day.
