Fiskars carpenter's hammer IsoCore XXL for hammering in nails, length: 41 cm, weight: 1.02 kg, black/orange, 1020216

I have just built a wood framed workshop in an American timber framing style. Most of the nailing was done with air tools, but I took the opportunity to upgrade my hammer. This Fiskars is top quality - nice in the hand, heavy, and the waffle head gives great grip on the nail. No good for anything finish wise - due to the waffle head. But for framing, it’s great! Can sink big 90mm nails in two hits all day long :)

I work as an electrician/plumber/multitrader and I love quality tools. I believe the quality of a man can be gleaned by looking at the tools he is using, as well as the state they are in. I take pride in my work and look after and clean my tools as soon as they start to get an unsightly amount of much on them. I usually buy Wera, Facom, USAG, Bahco, DeWalt, Metabo and lately Milwaukee. As a matter of fact, I have decided to swap platform from DeWalt to Milwaukee, having had a DeWalt drill driver that dropped it's bits one too many times(possibly a faulty chuck, loosening itself while operating. But enough for me to lose trust in DW). I have recently come across Fiskars tools and I immediately liked the way they looked. So, despite owning a few other hammers(Facom-a beauty of a hammer, black graphite handle, too nice to use at times, an overpriced Milwaukee at £50, Stanley, etc), about 8 in total, I could not resist and buy these lovely Fiskars 16Oz(820grams) IsoCore Finishing hammer and it's bigger brother, the Fiskars Demolition Tool IsoCore (1.38Kg). I also bought the Fiskars Heavy duty knife with sharpener(lovely little knife that sharpens itself every time you pull it out of it's holster, as well as when you put it back in. How brilliant is that?). They not only look the bees knees, but they are very well made, inspiring confidence. The demolition hammer is quite hefty and heavy, I pity the wall that happened to be in front of it., when it comes to demolishing. I was initially eyeing out the Stanley demolition hammer that is similar to the Fiskars, but the colour combination and looks won it for this one, in the end. The quality oozes out of them. I would advise using a few drops of olive oil, or any oil for that matter, to clean them up before first use, then wipe it down with a cotton cloth. The oil dissolves the nasty glue that got onto the handles after manufacturing. The oil trick also works wonders when trying to remove any nasty, glued down stickers that a lot of manufacturers use on their products. So yes, all in a all, quality tools that I am happy to promote to friends and fellow workers. Up there with my Facoms and USAG's. Buy one, you won't be disappointed.

By far the best hammer I’ve bought. I’ve owned 20-30 different hammers in my time and this is perfect. Also matches my Fiskars kindling hatchet No idea how it works but the anti vibration actually works. I bought this to be my Farm fencing specific hammer. It grips the staples so well and also 6” nails are a breeze as the waffle head locks into the nail head and the 22oz is perfect for banging nails through the strainers and into the post. Not too heavy for my tool belt all day. Don’t waste another minute, this is perfect 👍🏻

I am a joiner of 40+ years in the trade This hammer compares very well against its rivals. Only took a couple of hours to adjust from my previous one. It is my now go to hammer except when a do not need a milled face. Would recommend

I like the comfort of the grip, the perfect weight for all round building work, nice length for swinging when you need it and seems to be good quality

Have this a month now and absolutely love it. The grip and balance in either position is fantastic. Estwing has been retired n lives in the workshop now

Je l'ai en version Xl et XXL , honnêtement c'est plus une question de préférence entre ces 2 5 étoiles ! Dommage qu'il ne fabrique pas une version avec une pointe ça pourrait être chouette.

Dit is een top product!!! Zeer aangenaam stuk gereedschap, wat ik als timmerman fijn vind aan de Hamer ,is dat het je de optie bied met 1 slag je spijker te zetten, vanwege het magneet in de kop is er een optie een spijker in de sparing te leggen die je zo met 1 klap vast slaat en daarna verder kan drijven ,het fijne is dat je dan altijd een handje vrij hebt. Ook heb ik gekozen voor de xl met rechte kop versie vanwege het gewicht en slag bereik....maar dit is een hamer die is doorontwikkeld ,voor elk type bouwproject. Zeer ergonomische zodat je er uren mee kan werken...top product
