When I've noticed the new scrub soap for sale, decided to give it a try — I'm glad I did! I was worried that the addition of ground coffee & cinnamon would change the soap too much, but I can confirm it didn't. The new scrub soap has the same amazing smell, and produces the same rich, soft lather. The only difference is in the texture. Unlike the original soap that glides in your hands, the scrub soap has a fine, grainy feel to it - I'd compare it to handling a coarse fabric. You can feel the scrub, which I'm sure will help dealing with dry skin in the winter. While I still prefer the feel of the original, this is a very good option for those who want a bit more scrubbing power in their soap.

I'm an avid user of the original Packer's Pine soap. I love its pine tar scent and the soft lather the soap produces. I like it. It is definitely heavy on the smoke. Makes my house smell like a forest fire. I place the bar in a ziploc bag and now just the bathroom smells like it burned down. The exfoliate is quite surprising and feels like you're washing with lava soap or something from a mechanic shop. I do like it, it just needs a little tweaking. More pine, less smoke maybe
