I tried a few solutions but this restorer gave me the best result. After a clean, I applied it first to the damaged areas to cover up most of the damage and once I had done that a couple of times, applied it across the rest of the journal another couple of times to get a uniform colour. It was easy to use, quick drying between coats and true to the colour on the site. It’s buildable too - I probably applied 4 layers in total to the damaged areas. Whilst the colour isn’t the same as I originally had (which I knew going when I bought it) this isn’t too far off and means I totally reversed the damage. As you can see, it buffed up well too and doesn’t seem to transfer. Really happy especially as it cost a third of the one I originally was going to buy.
