DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY!!!
I had ordered this product for my business. It worked fine for exactly 3 months. Then it started having really high numbers. I had staff manually count people coming through and it was off by hundreds! It went from about 130 people per day to 450 and 600 per day! For the price that you pay for this, it is NOT worth it. Save your money and buy something else. This product is awful!

Improvement on the previous design, a bit underwhelming in terms of design and presentation
This is the 2nd of these counters I have received and this improves on the first in a couple of ways. Firstly the provision of an SD card and reader to collect the data to be analysed is a great facility. The data is supplied in CSV format for standard Excel integration. The listing seems to imply that there is a graphical report generated but that's not the case, so in that regard, the listing is a bit disingenuous. But, you can create your own graphs from the data provided. The other improvement is the instructions. The last one I received came with almost no useful instructions, these are far better, whilst still being quite basic given the cost of the equipment. My main reservations about these units are the same as in the first one I reviewed though. They are extremely underwhelming. They arrive in a small plain brown cardboard box. The units are tiny (not a bad thing in itself) and are lightweight plastic. They do look like something that has been put together as a science project - very basic, functional design. I guess they have a very specific utility and the design reflects that but at the price charged you just kind of expect a bit more. They don't even supply the AAA batteries required to run the units which feels a bit cheapskate. They work though, counting seems to be pretty accurate and they are small and unobtrusive. if you need a counter then you could do worse than choose this one.

Does the job but the data is just CSV (not graphical)
My first impressions upon opening the box was that these counters are very cheaply made. I struggled to follow the instructions to set the date/time but fitting them was simple enough and they work to count one way (so people entering are not double counted when they leave). You need to make sure you install them with the correct orientation or you will be counting leavers rather than arrivals. My next disappointment is with the data. It is very basic and is downloaded as a CSV file - so unless you are reasonably competent with excel, you may wonder what the jumble of figures is - which does rely on you having date and time correctly set on the unit. If you are OK on excel then you will be able to graph up the data. Overall, it does what it says but I do feel a little underwhelmed by it. I expected more for nearly £200

Simple and effective people counter
I used this to track how many people came to my charity event, and it worked perfectly. It was easy to set up and use straight out of the box, which was a big help when I was already busy with other event preparations. The counter records hourly and daily stats, so I could keep an eye on the numbers throughout the day without any fuss. The device itself feels well-made and reliable. It runs on batteries, so I didn’t need to worry about plugging it in or finding a power source, which was ideal for the event space. It’s also compact and unobtrusive, which made it easy to place by the entrance. Overall, it’s a really handy tool for keeping track of visitors, and I can see it being useful for all kinds of events or even retail spaces. I’m really pleased with how well it worked.

Works well
This simple but effective counter works well. It delivers accurate stats in a convenient csv format. Beyond this, it's not a particularly complicated device. The housing is basic, but robust, and will be fairly discreet in operation, which is great considering the high cost of the device and the risk of theft. As a device for understanding area traffic, I think this works very well. I was not quite sold on the marketing materials for revolutionising tracking of employees because I don't really believe this device is capable of creating accurate data in that regard. Whatever you use this for, though, compared to a manual metre, which just gives an overall count, this does offer some advantages which justify its price to a degree. With that said, at its current advertised price of £185, I do think this is somewhat expensive for what you get, and undoubtedly the price will lower as more of these products into the market.
