These HDMI splitters are plug and play. Used in a conference room with 2 sets of TVs and a mirrored dual monitor setup. Depending on the source HDMI connection, these splitters may not need external power. In other cases, you will need to use the included micro USB cable. Not sure why Micro-USB is still a thing anymore but that’s what this uses. Connecting to a GMKTec Mini PC this worked standalone. However on a Beelink Mini PC, the displays kept dropping out due to insufficient power. Splitter is very compact and worked well with the 1080p Vizio TVs we have. Also includes a short HDMI cable for the source input as well which is a plus.

This HDMI splitter works exactly as expected. I connected it to my laptop and two screens, and both display the same content clearly in 4K without any lag or quality loss. Setup was super easy—just plug everything in and power it up. It feels solid and does the job without any hassle. Great option if you need to show the same screen on two displays.

Splits the signal, great for streaming on one monitor, and playing without delay on another.

So it was clear that this device didn’t come with HDMI cables, but it also doesn’t come with the power cord that is needed if not HDMI output is seen. So this device didn’t work for me, and I had no means to troubleshoot it. So it’s being returned. Can’t recommend this.

I use it on the kareoke machine for projector and monitor at the same time

Some noticeable degradation of HD signal. Sharp numbers and letters turn slightly fuzzy which is okay for my security camera monitoring since I know the recordings are sharp but would be unwelcome in my home entertainment system. Instructions say it might need a USB power supply but it isn't optional. It requires one.

Can't drive fiber optic HDMI cables. Not sure exactly why. They work fine on the input side, just not on the output side. Tested two different cables with the same result. Also, it does not pass timecode over HDMI. This is probably a side effect of whatever the chip in this is doing to support things like HDCP. The chip is an MS9332 from MacroSilicon.

I bought this for home karaoke so that I could connect my laptop to both the TV and a projector. It feels pretty flimsy, and it requires using an outdated micro-USB cable, but it was just about the cheapest option I could find, and it’s getting the job done! I’m extending the desktop to the two screens so that I can show the lyrics on those while viewing the controls on my computer. Here’s a tip: I was able to plug the USB cord into the powered hub adapter rather than using a separate power adapter. This allowed me to use the short USB cable provided. You will need 3 HDMI cables (not included). I was also able to output sound from my laptop through one of the HDMI cables to my TV/Receiver. Just what I needed.

On the other side of this wall (in the next room - my wife's hobby room) my wife has a 36" flat screen TV mounted on the wall as a second monitor to her PC. She uses it mostly to display photos she has taken that she uses as subject to paint. Installing this HDMI splitter on the output of our "streaming box" so that one output feeds the 70" (like normal), the second feed is fed via a longer HDMI cable through the wall and to a secondary HDMI input to the TV in my wife's hobby room. This is fantastic. Now she can watch the same program that is playing at the same time in the Rec room. She can travel from room to room without missing anything. The pictures are both 4K and this solution works great.

The HDMI splitter with USB power cable comes nicely, packed inside packaging that clearly presents with the item is. Upfront and direct it clearly states what it supports and what it does or does not do. Opening the package. It’s minimalist design is clear simple instructions with a simple to follow diagram show you how to connect the cord to the splitter and to thepower source. Looking at the splitter with the input source on the bottom and the two output connectors on the top you can clearly spot the power source and its desired port on the left-hand side. Lightweight and simplistic it gets the job done. Used in Sharing one video feed from a set top box or computer, I’m able to view the content on both a television and projector. An excellent solution for broadcasting the same content on two different screens in two different areas of the house. Overall, the product works as it is intended, however, the plastic does seem to present some concern. Some video devices do heat up well in use! Nevertheless; this will be set up in a well ventilated area and away from any other heat sources..

This gadget even though little in size works pretty well. It came with a power cord which hooks up to a USB Power outlet and can be used to split the signal to two different HDMI outputs. I hooked it up to a projector and a TV and both worked flawlessly - no complaints. You do need your own USB power source however, so be prepared.
