The reason this looses two stars. Firstly the packaging. It looks nice. The brown wrap gives it a nice look and feel. Missing a nice tied thread. But, the sweets are not protected. When I grabbed the tray, I felt my thumb crushing the baklava. A simple cling film is all that was protecting it. Also, a lot of the syrup was leaking. They really need a hard and airtight container. Secondly, the baklava is not the best I’ve tasted. One of them we didn’t like at all. But, still we enjoyed them. They do taste fresh. The sugar level is just perfect in my opinion. All but one are genuinely tasty. Just not near the best I’ve tasted. Would I buy it again?? Yes I would if the packaging is improved. I would like to buy it as a gift, the packaging wouldn’t be suitable.

I buy these for my partner, she loves them (so do I) but she doesn't like to share.

Review Of: Zoyi 1kg Tray Premium Assorted Baklava The baklava comes on a clear, thick plastic tray and is well wrapped. Amongst the usual filo pastry nutty bites are a row of Namoura bites which are basically coconut cakes. My husband ate half of this tray in one go. He absolutely loved it. I was slightly less enthusiastic as I’ve had better. It is good though and reasonably good value.

Okay, so I decided to treat the family to this big box of baklava and honestly, it was a hit. I'm a big baklava fan myself, so I was hoping it would live up to expectations and it really did. The presentation was nice, all the pieces were well-packed, and it was ready to eat right out of the box. There are lots of different flavours, which was great for everyone to try something they liked. We had it with afternoon coffee and it was perfect. The crunch was really satisfying and you could tell they were handmade. You can taste the quality ingredients and it's a relief to see they don't use palm oil, which is a big plus for me. It's definitely not the cheapest baklava out there, but you get what you pay for. The quality is top-notch, and it's a nice treat for family gatherings. I did end up eating a lot of them in one sitting and then I wasn’t hungry for the rest of the day, so definitely a treat to be enjoyed in moderation! I also really like that they are produced locally. I'd definitely recommend it if you want something special - It's a bit of an indulgence, but it's worth it. (Hence my rating: 5+ out of 5 stars).

This was a really nice tray of baklava, ideal for sharing with family or having with a coffee in the afternoon. The 1kg tray came well packed, with a good variety of pieces all laid out neatly. They were fresh, crispy, and very moreish. I don’t usually go for honey-based desserts, so I was pleased these were made with syrup instead—still sweet, but not sickly, and with just the right amount of stickiness. Some pieces were a bit softer than others, but overall the textures were great. Only reason I’ve knocked off a star is the packaging—it looks fine but isn’t sealed that well, so I’d probably repackage it if I were giving it as a gift. Otherwise, for the price and quality, it’s definitely worth it.
