I’m very pleased with this product. Not noisy and very effective dryer with good controls and is great value for money if you really mean to use it to preserve excess food quantities or to simplify storage for later use.Well sized for drying good quantities of food for 2 people. I generally dry 1kg of chopped carrots using most shelves then sliced shallots another time and it will comfortably do 2 large celery heads finely chopped but blanched first. Also excellent for mushrooms, mango and pineapple.Anything that might stick is worth buying the silicone sheets for such as mango, pineapple, onion, etc. don’t forget to wash the shelves and silicone mats especially after drying onion/shallots.If I had a family, I would go for a larger one perhaps 10 or 12 shelves.

This is a well made stainless steel dehydrator with ten stainless mesh racks. It is quite well finished, has a convenient carrying handle and I have not noticed any sharp edges. This is our first machine and we tried it out with plums, kiwi fruit, tomatoes and apples. Because they needed different times we set the timer for the longest (the tomatoes) and took the others out earlier. All of the produce met our expectations and tasted good. It is not difficult to program the timer (although the instructions are a bit thin) and is simple to use. It came with a fairly comprehensive recipe book. The fan is about as noisy as our microwave, so since it is on for a long time it would be annoying to have in the same room as you but would be fine in an adjacent one. When we registered the machine online we were sent 5 silicone shelf mats which arrived very quickly. We are pleased with our purchase and look forward to using it to make other things such as crispbreads.

i bought this machine to upgrade from a cheaper one, i was attracted to the overall size and good reviews, looked a lot bigger than my six tray one, or so i thought, the trays are a very small, you cant buy silicone mats so have to make them from bigger ones, in all, the capacity is probably less than the old six tray one, most of the internal space is taken up by the fan. its very hard to clean as the aluminium folds hold the food particles that are blown about by the fan, you have to turn off the machine to check on the progress of your items as otherwise it will blow out lots of product all over the kitchen.having said that its a very efficient tool and the light comes in handy, i do a lot of work with it and in the six months that ive had it, its never let me down, its given me a lot of pleasure, i suspect it will be robust enough for the next few years then ill look to replace it, as its a great price will not owe me anything. as a devotee of dehydrating for many years i would recommend anyone thinking of starting up to buy a cheaper one, preferably plastic.

Our primary reason to get this was to dehydrate food in case of blackouts. We wanted to stock up and store food that we can keep for a while. We decided to use primarily to dehydrate meat to make jerky.We buy about two kilos of thin meat from the butcher, soak it in coconut aminos and a few other things. Leave it overnight to soak up the goodness. The next day we'll put the meat on the trays, leave it in for 4 hours on 70c. When that is done we take it out to see which pieces are ready and which still need more time.We've made three batches and they've come out really great! Much cheaper than buying jerky at the store, more nutritious and delicious as well.We haven't tried anything else yet. I think we're going to try either apples or sweet potatoes next. But overall we've been very happy with this product.

Great dehydrator from testing so far. It’s easy to use, simple to program, and has loads of space on the shelves, ideal for batch prepping. What I wasn’t expecting was the biblical swarm of flies it attracted. Left it running in the kitchen and within an hour it felt like a plague had rolled in like 70 to 80 of the buggers. Only a small packet of chicken drying on a single shelf.Clearly effective, but I won’t be using it indoors again. Curious how others are dealing with this? I'm thinking it’ll be strictly an outdoor job from now on, weather permitting.

It's an interesting device, that makes very little noise. First job was to dry out grapes. So far so good. Quality feel about this device

Really pleased with this purchase. This is the first time I have used a dehydrator and it is very easy to use. The fruit that I have done so far has been perfect. I have had a couple of questions and have the the response from the seller really quick and helpful. For home use this has been great. My only wish now is that it had a delay timer on it or would run with a delay timer so that I could set it to run on my cheaper rates electricity but other than that it has been a great purchase.

Bought this specifically for drying cookie icing.it’s been a game changer. Works brilliant I am able to dry one colour / layer of icing quickly before I add the next and avoid colour bleed . I use the lowest heat setting .It’s compact enough to fit on kitchen side but with 8 shelves I can dry a lot of cookies at a time.

Je suis déçu il n'y a pas 10 plateaux mais 8 donc publicité mensongère, autrement l'appareil fait son job rien à dire, pour le bruit effectivement à éviter de mettre dans la pièce de vie.

The recipe book is great but there are no temperature guides on the cheat sheet. Maybe I'm missing something. It works though, got my first batch of fruit on the go
