I bought the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite as a birthday gift for my husband, and it was such a good choice. He loves reading, so I wanted to get him something he’d genuinely use rather than just another gadget - and this has been perfect. He started using it almost straight away and appreciated the features and book selection available. The screen is really impressive. It’s clear, easy on the eyes, and the glare-free display makes it feel much more like reading an actual book than looking at a tablet. He especially likes that he can read comfortably in different lighting without any issues and can read at night and not wake me up if I'm sleeping! It’s also really lightweight and easy to carry around, so he takes it everywhere. The battery life has been excellent too, which is a big plus as it doesn’t constantly need charging. What I like most is that it feels like a gift that’s actually enhanced something he already enjoys. Instead of buying more physical books to pile up around the house, he now has everything in one place and loves how convenient it is. A really thoughtful gift that’s been genuinely appreciated and well used. If you’re buying for someone who loves books, this is a brilliant option.

Love it! Was running out of bookshelf space so having this has been amazing. I've read so many new books and authors since having this that I probably wouldnt have bought in the shop. It's ideal for slipping in your bag wherever you go. Easy to set up, it can give you definitions of words you dont understand, you can highlight or save quotes you love. On the rare occasion you find a error in a book you can easily highlight and report the error so it can be fixed.

I love it. This was the perfect choice to upgrade to after support finally stopped for my first kindle. This is the perfect size for taking on holiday. I usually read on the kindle app on my phone or my ipad, but when sitting in the sun it soon becomes impossible to read. That was the main reason I used to rely on my kindle, but already I'm finding myself using this more often than not. Very light, but feels quite sturdy. I purchased the cover for it at the same time, and it's equally as good. Books download really quickly, and once you get used to the touch sensitivity it really is preferable to reading on my phone.

I did have an earlier model Kindle, but purchased this as a present for one of my children. the compact size makes this an ideal travel companion. not only does it look great, but is is a strong build. once charged, it seems to hold the charge for weeks. great reading companion, with adjustabvle font size. Definitely great value for money

What an amazing device!! Everything about it runs smoothly!! I don’t miss at all a physical book (even though it was a worry before buying it) Only problem it doesn’t have any books in greek even with a purchase! What a shame!

We were replacing an, unfortunately, lost device. It is so handy to have. Great interface, easy to buy and download books and great customisation features. I suffer from astigmatism so I can easily change the font size to use the book when I’m without my glasses. Equally, changing the brightness and warmth of the backlighting makes it convenient to read at any time of the day. It is extremely lightweight and very responsive when Im reading. I honestly forget how long the battery lasts, I’m almost surprised when I need to charge it. I would like some customisation of where I can tap to go forward/backwards when I am flicking through pages - but the default works fine. I recommend this item to whoever I can - though I frequently hear “I prefer the feel of a book”, I quickly forget that when I think of the convenience and quality the kindle gives me.

This is such a good little kindle, it was very easy to set up either on the kindle itself or from your phone if you have the kindle app. It connected to my account straight away and is very clear to read. I used to have a kindle years ago but when it gave up I just used the app on my phone but have started to find it harder to read from phone screen and it does drain the battery when reading for a couple of hours, so decided to treat myself to a new one and this is absolutely brilliant.

This new generation 12 7" kindle was a forced replacement for a fairly newish Generation 11 one that sadly went missing at Tenerife Airport in the security scanner area! My old kindle was reported lost/stolen and this Generation 12 was my choice of replacement. A bit more expensive but comes with added features. I like the extra 1" in size. It is very slim. The best feature update is the ability to add warmth to the light/ brightness for night time reading and can be set to automatically adjust to normal light conditions. The warm setting means the toned down brightness is kinder to your eyes at bedtime and lends to a better sleep. Page turning has an option so you can see your page turn. Many of the other features are the same as the Generation 11 so not a big adjustment for me to get used to. I do find the Generation 12 has a smoother page turn whereas the 11 was bumpy and often turned a few pages in one swipe/click. The Generation 12 is much more touch sensitive. The battery life is good, I'm quite a few weeks into reading and it's still on it's first initial full charge. I chose the Kindle in raspberry colour and as looks so good I didn't intend to put it in a cover/case. However, I found I'm used to having something to grip on to, so I've now purchased the Finite Kindle compatible cover for this Generation 12 7". This is a slimline clear silicone back so I can see the Kindle raspberry colour through it and it has only a slim raspberry front cover. It fits like a cover on a mobile phone. Best cover I've purchased and it puts little onto the weight of the Kindle but gives it all the protection and grip needed. The Kindle still easily goes in my handbag. I'm loving my new Kindle, even though it was an unexpected but necessary purchase. It was easy to register, set up (touch control keyboard) and download all my Kindle books from the cloud. I was quickly able to pick up from where I left off reading. I feel it is much better than my last one with the added features, particularly as I read a lot at night, but recognise some may need more time to get used to the operation if they are jumping to this model from a much earlier Kindle model.

Un mois que je l’ai reçue et j’arrête pas de lire dessus ! Je redoutais de passer du papier à la liseuse mais le passage est assez naturel. Très intuitif à prendre en main avec tous les réglages essentiels. La batterie tient vraiment super bien, j’ai lu plus de 1500 pages et la batterie est à 40%. Super pratique de pouvoir retrouver où on en est de sa lecture sur l’application mobile et très simple de charger des nouveaux livres. La bibliothèque gagnerait à être un peu mieux organisée.

The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite 16 GB is one of the best purchases I’ve made for reading. The screen is sharp, easy on the eyes, and feels very close to reading a real book, even during long reading sessions. The battery life is fantastic and lasts for weeks on a single charge. I also love the adjustable lighting, which makes it comfortable to read both during the day and at night. The device is lightweight, fast, and easy to carry anywhere. The 16 GB storage provides more than enough space for a large collection of books, and the waterproof design is a nice bonus. Ik ben een Kindle van en de paperwhite is gewoon prima

I was originally very miffed that I had to discard my original Kindle due to the support being stopped and the fact that it couldn't be used to download purchases any longer. But having paid out quite a lot for a new Kindle, I'm pleased with the outcome. The new one has a bigger screen; is easier to read, and the battery lasts a lot longer. It's a nice device - I just hope Amazon won't kill it off too soon!!!!!

Detto questo, una volta utilizzato, il miglioramento si nota subito: il sistema è molto più veloce e reattivo, le pagine si caricano senza attese e l’esperienza generale risulta più fluida. Lo schermo antiriflesso è piacevole e permette una lettura comoda in qualsiasi condizione di luce, senza affaticare la vista. La gestione dei libri è semplice e immediata, come ci si aspetta da questa tipologia di prodotto. La batteria mantiene una buona autonomia e consente di leggere per settimane senza preoccuparsi della ricarica. La sensazione generale è quella di un dispositivo più moderno e ottimizzato, che migliora davvero l’esperienza quotidiana. Resta però il fatto che il cambio non è stato una scelta libera ma quasi obbligata, e questo incide sulla percezione complessiva. Le 5 stelle sono assegnate valutando esclusivamente il prodotto e non la gestione o le politiche legate alla sostituzione del dispositivo. Nel complesso è un prodotto valido e ben realizzato, con un’esperienza d’uso nettamente migliorata rispetto al modello precedente.
