Towards the end of Summer, the tee boxes at my local golf course get very hard. I use it often to start a pilot hole for a tee. I like that this is light weight and has a good strong case

I've had the same ice pick for 50 years!! I was trying to get an anchor out of a wood door with my old ice pick -DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!! - and half of the pick broke off. I don't know where my old one came from since I don't remember ever buying it, but I had to look for a new one. I'm very happy with this one. For some unknown reason, I cannot live without an ice pick, and I don't use it for ice - EVER!! But I do use it for everything else I can think of. Today I used it to start small holes when attaching a picture holder to a frame. How else would one do this?!! Anyway, this ice pick is great, and I love the cover...no more sticking my fingers when grasping for it in my junk drawer.

This is well built and reminds me of the one we had in the kitchen back in the 70s.

The ice pick is my favorite kitchen item. I lost my last one in a move. I had it 20 years. This one is great, I like thr cover but I don't like the little metal piece on its cover.
