Most relief I’ve felt from canker sores
First time I’ve ever felt noticeable lasting relief from a canker sore. There’s still some pain from something touching it but it numbs the way Novocain injections at the dentist do in my opinion. For some commenting on pain relief not working, I believe that may be due to them having extensive nerve pain and radiating pain. It also stuck well, but I think it really depends on the location. Mine is currently on the inside of my jaw towards the back of my tongue so there’s a good flat surface for it to stick to. I can imagine weird spots wouldn’t stick as well. It does taste kinda bad but I do think it’s easy to endure. Very easy to use and fast relief. It’s better than nothing and like I said helped more than anything I’ve tried in the past and lasts longer than orajel.

Pain relief without numbing your whole mouth.
Super effective, sticks firmly to your teeth. Way better than liquids for long term pain relief and helps if you have to talk a lot with a sore mouth. It also might just be me, but I accidentally bit my lip. I put one of these on when I got home, and the next day it was healing much faster and had almost no pain. Easy to apply and well worth the money if you get regular canker sores or accidentally bite yourself.

Great product.
This product is pretty amazing. My sore is on my gums inside next to my tongue. Lots of spit there, the oragel doesn’t work due to the constant saliva but these do stay once you activate it. I stick it to the front part of my lip and gum to let it melt a bit there then move it to the inside. It does stick. Very numbing of mouth due to location but sticking it there keeps my tongue from messing with it. It had help heal the sore quicker as it does have so much less pain and swelling and redness has gone down. I am using it with oral b mouth sore oral rinse. These two together have knocked it out of the park.

OraCoat has replaced an excellent product with an unacceptable one
I bought the OraCoat CankerMelts thinking they featured hyaluronic acid & vitamin B12 just like the wonderful canker-healing discs called Renewing Melts, which OraCoat discontinued last year. I liked the Renewing Melts because they *really worked* both to address the pain (by patching over the sore) and because they helped heal it naturally. And they contained no mint, which is important to me and so many others who use homeopathy. The description on Amazon did not mention the mint, so I was very disappointed to open up the package and find it reeking of mint, making it useless to me. It is such a pity that OraCoat discontinued the safe, highly effecting Renewing Melts then produced these instead. The benzocaine is not only unneeded (the hyaluronic acid/B12 tabs also addressed pain effectively), but it its also potentially dangerous. Here's what Wikipedia says about oral use of this nerve-numbing ingredient: "... there have been reports of serious, life-threatening adverse effects (e.g., seizures, coma, irregular heart beat, respiratory depression) with over-application of topical products or when applying topical products that contain high concentrations of benzocaine to the skin.[20] "Overapplication of oral anesthetics such as benzocaine can increase the risk of pulmonary aspiration by relaxing the gag-reflex and allowing regurgitated stomach contents or oral secretions to enter the airway. Applying an oral anesthetic and consuming beverages before going to bed can be particularly hazardous. "The topical use of higher concentration (10–20%) benzocaine products applied to the mouth or mucous membranes has been found to be a cause of methemoglobinemia, a disorder in which the amount of oxygen carried by the blood is greatly reduced." In spite of the potential danger, OraCoat even suggests that these CankerMelts, which contain 15mg. of benzocaine, can be used while sleeping. I don't think this product should even be on the market, let alone be used while sleeping.

As good as it gets
Arrived securely. Sticks well. Tastes chalky. Effective in short term pain relief but leaves residue on your teeth.
