Smooth, Spa-Level Skin at Home
I’ve been using the PMD Personal Microderm Classic for a few weeks now, and it’s become a core part of my skincare routine. The machine feels solid and ergonomic in hand, and switching between discs and intensity levels is simple—perfect for customizing each session. After cleansing, the gentle suction combined with exfoliating discs delivers a smooth, polished complexion that feels like a mini facial every time.Immediately after use, my skin feels noticeably softer and brighter. Fine lines and dryness are less visible, and my usual serums and moisturizers absorb much better. I’ve also tried it on rough areas like elbows and knees with impressive results—a few passes and the skin feels freshly renewed. Just be sure to follow the prep and aftercare steps in the kit, as recommended. Overall, it’s a professional-level treatment I can do at home—cost-effective, effective, and easy to use.

So far, I like it!
This is an early review, as I've only used the PMD four times over five weeks so far. I'm a 27 year old female, and so I don't have a ton of wrinkles but I was wanting to even out my skin tone, acne scars, and see if I could reduce the blackheads on my nose, forehead, and cheeks. I followed the instructional dvd and tried it. A word of warning; although the dvd warns against leaving the machine too long in one place, sometimes the suction can just suck your skin in a spot and before you realize it you done left it too long. So I can't overemphasize the importance of holding your skin taut when using the PMD. Also the blue microdermabrasion disks are something to work up to, and I'm not talking about over 1 month, but longer. Your skin needs to get used to the system. So my actual experience:The first time I used the PMD, I used the green "sensitive" disk (I know I think the dvd says start with white to get used to it but I'm impatient), did my whole face, and the suction got caught on my cheek and under-eye area (also I know the dvd also said avoid the under-eye area haha, but I had a couple age spots I was hoping to get rid of). It tingled, didn't hurt too badly, but over the course of the next 3 days scarring appeared, especially over the areas the PMD got stuck. By another 3 days later though all that dead skin had peeled off, with what looked like happier skin underneath. So by another week later I decided to do a treatment again. Same exact thing happened. A week after the 2nd treatment, all the scarred skin had peeled off, but I decided to wait a week and not barrage my skin with treatments. Also I didn't necessarily like the whole "scar-then-peel" process I had been doing because during the time my skin was scarring my face looked ugly until that skin peeled off lol and my parents were wondering if something was wrong with me. So I waited another week before doing the 3rd treatment. When doing the 3rd treatment, I held my skin more taut, the PMD didn't suck into my skin too long anywhere, and I completely avoided my under-eye and gave up trying to get those age spots. I had no scarring and my face looked pretty much normal the entire week. Since my skin seemed to be doing fine, I did my 4th treatment a week later. I'm still using the sensitive disk, and this time I also used the wider sensitive disk to try on select body areas.Overall: I had some darker areas on my cheeks that seem to be lightening up, and the overall texture of my skin seems improved and more rejuvenated. I use less makeup, although I for sure use sunscreen every day. I'm looking forward to seeing further benefits, and would consider this product a super win if it gets rid of those unsightly blackheads and bumpies on my nose. But so far, I like it!

Feels great
I like it. I have used it about 5 times now. Your face feels so smooth after you are done and even for several days after. I think it has made my face look softer too.

Great tool - you won't regret it!
I am really surprised at how effective this is - it's the first time I've used any home beauty product that gave such a definite positive effect. It comes with no instructions, but there are plenty of tutorials online. I've used it three times, a week apart, using the gray buffer (lowest next to the white trial one), and I see and feel a much clearer complexion afterward. It's lovely and very much worth the cost. I don't think I need to increase the frequency or intensity of this treatment - it seems perfect as is.

No results and dangerous!
Being American, I have the strong draw to exfoliate like a mf with the idea that there’s a bumpy dull top layer that must be removed like cracking and removing the shell of a hard boiled egg. Not correct at all but I was suckered in.I’ll state first, this does work extremely well at harsh exfoliation. It essentially files down your skin, leaving white skin dust in its wake. I think anyone reading this would be sold at this point, but in hopes of smooth blemish free glowing skin? This did not deliver.I used the most gentle head and worked at safely as I can but in the first go it bursted a capillary on my cheek which is basically irreversible damage unless you receive laser treatment.Still, I figured user error, I’ll be more careful the next time. Which I was, although the next few times spread out still only left my skin feeling extremely raw from one swipe through. Even with skin recovery, there was no minimized pores or skin texture or skin clarity. I was warned that over exfoliating can actually make skin thicker and over produce to protect it and I could see that was the future to come. This may work for certain skin types but I highly recommend not trying it since it can easily scar your skin. For now I’ll stick to acid peels that can actually penetrate the skin, Target discoloration and dissolve dead skin without leaving it super raw.
