Update February 2026: it's been nearly 5 years since I bought this topper and I'm still a happy sleeper.Update June 2024: still a happy sleeper 3 years into using this latex mattress topper!!Update June 2023: I'm still very happy with this mattress topper. No dips, still comfortable, flipped it once. I see no reason to buy a new mattress.I replaced my 10 year old mattress in January 2019 with the same model. Sadly, quality had declined and after 2 1/2 years it was dipping and giving me a sore back. I started looking at new mattresses but balked at the cost, especially since spending money so recently on a new mattress. Then I started looking at mattress toppers and finally settled on a 3" firm latex mattress topper in early June 2021. I tried it on top of the mattress and it helped but it didn't do quite enough to eliminate the dip or my sore back. So I got a 4'x2' piece of quarter inch plywood and put it between the topper and mattress. That has really helped and 5 months later I can't remember the last time I woke up with a sore back. I'm hoping this will delay a new mattress purchase for a few more years. The only drawback is that it made my mattress pretty high, but if I really needed to fix that I would get a low profile foundation. So far, it hasn't been a problem.MARCH, 2022--it's been 10 months since I bought this 3" topper and I'm still sleeping well. No backache, not so firm that it hurts my hips. Definitely worth it, and I don't anticipate needing to replace with a new mattress anytime soon.

This is a legit, back-pain suffering review!! Yes, I was hesitant to buy this. I mean $300 for a mattress topper? I had it in my cart for weeks....save for later... back to cart....save for later...and then finally, I pulled the trigger. Here’s what led up to it—MY STATS:5’11” 190lbs. I lift heavier weights, I box and hit the bag a lot and hard. I know my back is going to get put through it. I’m 50 years old and have some back issues on and off but Ibuprofen has usually done the trick (You MUST go 800mg a day for a couple weeks to saturate your back - you can’t take it only when you feel pain flair ups. But ask your doc).MY BED:I bought the Amazon brand RIVET mattress. It was good for a while but the sinkholes came. It just got to a point where I was having to do a heating pad to get my muscles to stop contracting. I knew I needed a firm mattress. The Rivet BASE foam is fine but the soft foam SUCKS and the base foam is WAY TOO firm to sleep on it’s own. SO I went a little DIY with this.MY PROCESS:I stripped off the top two layers of foam from the RIVET base foam. I then put the top foam on the base foam and the LATEX on the very top. We have a thinly padded mattress cover that went on top of that. First time I lay on that mattress I thought I was in Heaven... but Heaven did worry me a bit at first.THE SLEEP:The first night, I was a little worried because this bad boy is firm!! I am able to sleep on my side...ISH but I wind up more on my back now. Its a little firm for side-sleepers but it has given in a TINY bit and like I said, I do sleep on my side again now. I can sleep on my stomach for a while too. This mattress topper seems like it will adapt a LITTLE...but not much. What I do know is that there are NO MORE SINKHOLES in my mattress.OVERALL:I got the 3” topper. The 2” or 1” will be less firm, I’d imagine. I wanted the FIRM FIRM mattress topper! And thank the Lord above - this mattress topper did EXACTLY what I wanted it to do - it firmed up a soft mattress with sinkholes. If I would’ve added the other foam layer on top rather than the thin layer that I did, it would’ve given me a bit more cushion, I suspect. So if you get this mattress topper and you panic...DON’T! You can add a thin layer to it and it will work perfectly...if you like your mattress firm!I have to say that I am TOTALLY PLEASED with this purchase. I’ve had it for several weeks...a couple of months or so... and it’s PERFECT! I am so happy with it. It IS expensive...but this is THE mattress topper to get!

This mattress topper saved my body during my pregnancy! It is firm and very supportive - excellent for side sleeping. It is a little hard to move as it is heavy and awkward, but that means it doesn’t shift while you’re sleeping, which is great. Also keep in mind that you could pull off pieces of the foam if you’re grabbing it too close to the edge while moving it. There was an odor when we first opened it, but that mostly faded after leaving it rolled out and outside for a day. But the support that this topper offered outweighs the little quirks. A great solution for those who can’t afford a whole new mattress or for couples who prefer different levels of mattress firmness.

I purchased this topper after days of research!!! Whenever I make a large purchase I become a research hound! I was very pleased with the quality and plush comfort. I needed a topper for the interim until I decide on a mattress. My lower back bothers me after a night's sleep and needed some help. I would recommend this to anyone, but because I start out on my side and end up on my back it was too soft to help elevate my pain. Totally my misjudgment. I was going to send it back and get the firm but gave it to my mother who suffers from rheumatoid arthritis in her back. She is more of a side sleeper. She loves it! You do need to determine how you sleep before ordering because trying to box this topper to send it back will be a nightmare! I did end up ordering the firm for myself. My back pain is gone. I will say this is firm so sleeping on your side will only cause your shoulders to hurt. The firm does take some time getting used to but I am not sorry for switching to the firm. I noticed with the firm in the center it is a bit softer allowing me to lay on my side to fall asleep. I am sure with time it will eventually give some. I am very pleased that I bought one for my daughter's bed. She sleeps on her stomach and got a firm. She has no more back pain either.

I had a reputable named brand mattress topper and after getting tired of being hot every night (because it’s essentially plastic right?!) I ordered this topper. I had a latex topper before and loved it but after several years it lost its support.This topper is AWESOME! It’s firm but soft. 3 inches thick is true. Zero odor when I opened the plastic around the rolled up mattress.Slept amazing! Very happy !
