If you think of the rhythmic sound as a repetitive white noise it’s actually a little meditative. You can connect it to your music or media via Bluetooth and that will distract from any machine noise. It’s nice that it multiple levels for heat and pressure and that you can mix and match the settings. It’s also got a gel pack that you can cool and put in the unit to cool your eyes, if that’s what you want. Relaxation aside, I bought it specifically for eye and eyelid massage — to help alleviate dry eye and keep my meibomian glands unclogged and functioning properly. I’ve just started using it for that and I’m working up to using it daily, so I don’t know how effective it is yet. The fit isn’t perfect, but I’m used to that sort of thing with masks — I don’t have a prominent nose and my face is a little shallow. Even though that’s the case, once I figured out the fit, it still does what it’s supposed to do. I do feel like it needs to be charged a little too often. I love the color.
