I bought the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite as a birthday gift for my husband, and it was such a good choice. He loves reading, so I wanted to get him something he’d genuinely use rather than just another gadget - and this has been perfect. He started using it almost straight away and appreciated the features and book selection available. The screen is really impressive. It’s clear, easy on the eyes, and the glare-free display makes it feel much more like reading an actual book than looking at a tablet. He especially likes that he can read comfortably in different lighting without any issues and can read at night and not wake me up if I'm sleeping! It’s also really lightweight and easy to carry around, so he takes it everywhere. The battery life has been excellent too, which is a big plus as it doesn’t constantly need charging. What I like most is that it feels like a gift that’s actually enhanced something he already enjoys. Instead of buying more physical books to pile up around the house, he now has everything in one place and loves how convenient it is. A really thoughtful gift that’s been genuinely appreciated and well used. If you’re buying for someone who loves books, this is a brilliant option.

Love it! Was running out of bookshelf space so having this has been amazing. I've read so many new books and authors since having this that I probably wouldnt have bought in the shop. It's ideal for slipping in your bag wherever you go. Easy to set up, it can give you definitions of words you dont understand, you can highlight or save quotes you love. On the rare occasion you find a error in a book you can easily highlight and report the error so it can be fixed.

I did have an earlier model Kindle, but purchased this as a present for one of my children. the compact size makes this an ideal travel companion. not only does it look great, but is is a strong build. once charged, it seems to hold the charge for weeks. great reading companion, with adjustabvle font size. Definitely great value for money

I love it. This was the perfect choice to upgrade to after support finally stopped for my first kindle. This is the perfect size for taking on holiday. I usually read on the kindle app on my phone or my ipad, but when sitting in the sun it soon becomes impossible to read. That was the main reason I used to rely on my kindle, but already I'm finding myself using this more often than not. Very light, but feels quite sturdy. I purchased the cover for it at the same time, and it's equally as good. Books download really quickly, and once you get used to the touch sensitivity it really is preferable to reading on my phone.

What an amazing device!! Everything about it runs smoothly!! I don’t miss at all a physical book (even though it was a worry before buying it) Only problem it doesn’t have any books in greek even with a purchase! What a shame!

My old (very old!) kindle was sadly of an age that it would no longer be supported so I was more or less ‘forced’ into upgrading. I opted for the Paperwhite but was a little sceptical. However I need not have worried. It was so easy to set up and although it is bigger than my original, it still fits comfortably in my handbag and is just as light. I love the clarity of the screen and being able to adapt the brightness. In some ways I’m quite pleased my old version is past it’s best as I am delighted with the upgrade.

This is such a good little kindle, it was very easy to set up either on the kindle itself or from your phone if you have the kindle app. It connected to my account straight away and is very clear to read. I used to have a kindle years ago but when it gave up I just used the app on my phone but have started to find it harder to read from phone screen and it does drain the battery when reading for a couple of hours, so decided to treat myself to a new one and this is absolutely brilliant.

This is nice and easy to hold and read. Although I do prefer the feel of a book but with failing eye sight the words are clearer/sharp.

Un mois que je l’ai reçue et j’arrête pas de lire dessus ! Je redoutais de passer du papier à la liseuse mais le passage est assez naturel. Très intuitif à prendre en main avec tous les réglages essentiels. La batterie tient vraiment super bien, j’ai lu plus de 1500 pages et la batterie est à 40%. Super pratique de pouvoir retrouver où on en est de sa lecture sur l’application mobile et très simple de charger des nouveaux livres. La bibliothèque gagnerait à être un peu mieux organisée.

The screen is sharp, easy on the eyes, and feels very close to reading a real book, even during long reading sessions. The battery life is fantastic and lasts for weeks on a single charge. I also love the adjustable lighting, which makes it comfortable to read both during the day and at night. The device is lightweight, fast, and easy to carry anywhere. The 16 GB storage provides more than enough space for a large collection of books, and the waterproof design is a nice bonus. Ik ben een Kindle van en de paperwhite is gewoon prima

J'adore cette liseuse, c'est un super cadeau que j'ai reçu pour mon anniversaire. Très agréable, toucher papier, facile à utiliser. Le format est bon, ni trop grand ni trop petit, le poids et la finesse également. Les nouveaux livres se chargent sans difficultés et sans manipulation supplémentaire une fois achetés sur Amazon. Plein d'options pour personnaliser l'affichage de lecture, ce qui est un énorme plus (taille des caractères, type de police, couleurs plus ou moins chaudes de l'écran, niveaux de rétroéclairage...). La fonctionnalité pour connaître la définition ou la traduction lors d'un appui long sur un mot est super. J'aime aussi beaucoup la fonction de surlignage des passages préférés, qui devient communautaire lorsque beaucoup de gens surlignent le même passage. On peut y ajouter des accessoires tiers comme un étui de protection (la liseuse s'allume et s'éteint automatiquement lorsqu'on ouvre/ferme l'étui dessus (comme la couverture du livre)), ou une télécommande pour faire defiler les pages sans sortir les mains de sous la couette.
