Knives Vision FG Superlock C22036-3 Dark Green Canvas Micarta Nitro-V Steel Pocket Knife

This knife is fantastic for the price. Replace the clip with the Civivi titanium one for $13 if the factory one is too prominent. The action is super slick, blade shape seems unconventional but is SUPER useful; came very sharp. The super-lock is fun and fidgety and strong. I would love to see a version of this with slightly thicker blade stock but the factory blade is strong and when used for normal knife things (vs internet knife destructo tests), I'm sure it will be more than strong enough. The micarta scales are nice and there are after market metal replacements if you want to dress it up (but they cost more than the knife itself!). The Nitro-V steel will handle 99% of use for 99% of owners. The blade's gentle sweep makes it a very easy profile to hand sharpen on a stone; no big curve towards the tip to deal with. Coating on the blade is very smooth. No play or wiggle in the blade, and it is perfectly centered. Just buy it.

Going to start with the negatives because there are only 2 and they are very minor. The super lock will make your finger sore pretty quick. This is a very fidgety knife and the lock is stiff. While it may make your finger sore, it does give you confidence that the lock is strong. My only other complaint is the pocket clip is the standard skeletonized civivi clip and it being off center is sort of weird and makes the knife hang different in the pocket. This knife is awesome!! One of the smoothest action I have seen and a super cool lock!! The whole knife is solid. Built like a tank with a super slicey blade. While the knife was decently sharp, I reprofiled to 17degrees per side and finished with 4 micron emulsion. Nitro V takes a very nice edge and easy to work with. The overall size while on the larger side of my preferred edc size, it is proper for this blade and configuration. Feels very natural in the hand. I have been very impressed with Civivi and this knife is the best yet in my opinion. I was very excited when I first saw the Vision FG. Very glad I purchased one. This is alot of knife with a super cool lock at a very reasonable price. I really like the AD20.5, but at this price for a Vision, I would take the Civivi hands down.

Love the lock. Super secure and has a great “fidget factor.” The micarta handles are smooth - definitely won’t destroy your pockets. This knife is heavy due to the steel liners under the handle. If you’re looking for a lighter EDC, this isn’t the way to go. It’s a larger, heavier knife. Great action. Blade makes a satisfying “snikt” on deployment. The pocket clip sucks. CIVIVI knows this, but they continue to put that ridiculous bill on the pocket clip.

Love the action, the balance, and the blade shape. It’s solid but not too heavy. The pocket clip is nice and snug. Would fall out of your pocket. A favorite of mine.
