The micarta scales are nice and there are after market metal replacements if you want to dress it up (but they cost more than the knife itself!). The Nitro-V steel will handle 99% of use for 99% of owners. The blade's gentle sweep makes it a very easy profile to hand sharpen on a stone; no big curve towards the tip to deal with. Super secure and has a great “fidget factor.” The micarta handles are smooth - definitely won’t destroy your pockets. This knife is heavy due to the steel liners under the handle. If you’re looking for a lighter EDC, this isn’t the way to go. It’s a larger, heavier knife. Great action. Blade makes a satisfying “snikt” on deployment. The pocket clip sucks.
