worked like a wonder the moment i connected it and freshly installed Windows 10 and realised how an SSD makes a difference in loading OS and opening applications. i will recommend everyone who upgrade memory cards instead of their Hard disks to reconsider. Please remember that your SSD can load stuff way faster even with 2GB of ram even if its an average level machine. Just make sure not to reinstall OS over and over again on your new SSD and you are good to go. Now coming back to the topic, since i am using Silicon power for the first time, i am hooked and have had no issues for past 3 months. Got it registered online on the specified website on the package after it was delivered to me. You just need to know service centres around you just in case. Recommended so far!!!

For what you pay for, it's an excellent product, but after further investigation and getting my head on straight. I realized that my Samsung 860 Pro, actually blew this drive Silicon Power (128MB & 1TB) and a Crucial MX500 that I also purchased out of the water. While doing some initial side by side comparisons, Both the Silicon Power, Crucial MX500 & Samsung 860 Pro drives were relatively equal and I was surprised and happy with my new purchase(s). BTW, I still am happy, because in real world situations and for what I do, I don't personally notice the difference, BUT, for those that do... While initially testing, the Samsung only held a slightly better performance to both the Silicon Power and the Crutial MX500 drives, but then I realized that my main drive, the (Silicon Power) was on a faster Sata III connector, which initially I thought were all the same speed and when testing the Crucial MX500, it was also a clone of the (Silicon Power) main drive on the same faster Sata III Connector. So briefly, the Samsung 860 Pro was virtually equal to both the (Silicon Power) and the (Crucial MX500), while only on a Sata II connection and both the Crucial MX500 & Silicon Power were on the Sata III when doing my initial comparison. After realizing my mishap, I loaded the operating system onto the Samsung 860 Pro, which was the only way to fairly compare all three drives and this baby (The Samsung 860 Pro) cleaned house with read and write speeds that were stable and in the 425 - 450+ mb's range. So, without the photos handy, which I may provide at a later date. It's crucial to compare apples to apples and when buying a new drive, that is destined to be your main drive. It's highly probable that the newly acquired drive is on the faster of the available Sata ports and comparing to your old drive, may not be a fair comparison, which I'm sure these manufacturers know all too well. Some EQUAL speed Sata ports would be nice from the motherboard manufacturers, which are still installing USB 2.0 ports on motherboards in 2021, which in my humble opinion is Ridiculous! Hopefully, this helps someone in making their decision and I still love my Silicon Power & Crucial MX500 drives, but now I really love my new Samsung 860 PRO...Just joking and to be quite frank, and throw a wrench in the mix here: I can't see the inner workings, for what I do, what it's worth and what I personally noticed, the Crucial MX500 actually seemed to be the fastest of them all, when used as my main drive. It seemed the spunkiest with the least lag, but there are too many variables to weigh for each situation. Mine is some minor graphics, browsing the web with some Excel & Word products as well. Speed itself is Good but It got corrupted easily maybe because I dual booted windows. I think you should try Silicon Power SSD. My laptop booting time is now 10x better than my previous HDD
