Added Confidence & Independence
When I was told I could upgrade to a rollator I went on a search and The HD Nitro is what I decided on. I've owned it since May, 2020. After regaing ability to walk again I needed something reliable. This rollator was it along with the independence and confidence of having a place to sit when needed. I love having a seat that sits high enough 20 inches, that I don't have to hoist myself up with alot of strain. And the arms on the rollator adjust in height so I can stand tall (not huntched over). Having the arms adjustable have helped with carpal tunnel issues I developed with a regular walker. You won't regret owning this rollator. I have independence because I am able to lift this and place it in my smaller SUV, for outings or a quick stop at the grocery. The bag holds just enough. It's very durable. I usually get comments about it. I'm 5'8", way under the max weight but bought the HD for stability & ease of use, foldable & maneuverability. Love it! 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Confident & stability still after 5 years! People want to know where I purchased my awesome rollator and I get compliments always on my Drive HD rollator. It makes all the difference in feeling safe & secure when I use my rollator. Love the height of the seat and the adjustable handles! I can sit at a play in handicap area with better comfort than those low theater seats and the mobility to get in & out with no issues. Great quality! Worth the $$$. And easy to lift in & out of my vehicle for me...keeping my independence is important. If you are shopping for a Heavy Duty Rollator this is it! 5⭐'s.

Great design and quality, comfortable for long lines, going to concerts
Great device, and it arrived quickly. I should have gotten one of these race-car inspired euro designed rollators long ago! I can sit in long lines without much pain now. The only issue is that this is for taller folks. I'm 5'2" but it's easy to rest my feet on the wheels when I sit. The chair pad is not really padded enough, but it folds pretty easily, and for now I can grapple it into the back of our Forester. But it rolls so smoothly, and I feel less ancient as I "race" around.

Better than expected - and worth the cost
Need wide one because of my size. Looked at another Drive model at a mobility supply place. Felt like junk, but was the same size, which worked for me. Saw the standard size Nitro there and liked the ease of folding, getting through narrow doors, ease of opening, and no exposed brake wires. Wife sat on the standard Nitro and said back was very comfortable, as was the seat. Local store want more than double the Amazon price, so ordered from Amazon. Arrived on the second day. Took it out of the box, took off the plastic over bag, and unfolded. So easy to use and the seat is good for me too. Unlike narrow (standard size) rollators my shoes do not kick the rollator and I can stand between the handles as I walk - upright. Looks to be well made. Unlike the one star reviews, my wheels are straight and the closing and opening are as described in the manual (easy too). Easy to get it in the back of the car (much easier than my scooter). Used in the rain and over grassy areas with no problem. Over two months of use and the only negative is sometimes the seat does not go all the way down on one side. A slight pull on the seat release in the center of the seat fixes. Like it so much I bought a standard size one for my wife. Mine has been used to watch a triathlon. Seat and back were comfortable for more than an hour at each location.

Like a Beach Boy, I Get Around!
Very easy to fold. Sometimes doesn't catch when folded, so I have to push one side to the other to get it to catch. I wish the back support could either flip around or be removed. Very sturdy, and overall, fairly easy to lift into and out of the car. I don't need to use it all the time, so I'm glad it folds up pretty thin. When I need it, I'm glad to have my "bariatric geriatric".

Love this walker.
I love this walker as it allows me to do the things I love including filling my multiple bird feeders, create and care for a large container garden and put my 2 cats in their carrier and take them out to their catio in the back yard. I am 67yr old and have a painful knee and ankle and am quite overweight. I got the walker several years ago after having several falls. This walker has kept me safe. And it makes walking so much easier!!! I like that it closes side to side and is easy to lift into my trunk and easy to it up 2 steps into my home. With the larger seat width it is a very tight fit thru my bedroom doorway, but all I need to do is pull up on the seat handle just a bit and easily get thru the doorway. Also so many walkers are rated for 300 or 400 lbs but the seats are only 15 to 18 inches wide. There is no way my butt and hips would fit in those. I can comfortably sit in this walker as needed to rest while walking or when I take myself or my dad to doctor appointments and I don't need to worry if I can sit in their waiting room chairs. This winter I was lucky and spent several months in Florida and was able to trim and weed my father's yard and even go to the beach or parks and walk on nature trails. The large wheels make it easier to get around on grass or well kept mostly flat trails. This walker keeps me safe and allows me to do the things I enjoy which keeps me happier!!!

Outstanding Product!
I have had this rollator for one year now and it was one of the best purchase decisions i made in the past year. I was hesitant to spend the extra for the heavy duty model, but at my weight of 350 lbs this gives me a strong sense of security when resting my weight on it or sitting on it, yet I can fold it with one hand and easily lift it into a car. I had stopped going many places because I dreaded the fight to get my old one into the car - I was exhausted before we left the driveway. Because of the light weight and the way it folds this is so much easier. I have recently had a series of PT appointments, and this has fit neatly into every Uber car I've called - the smaller ones. The height adjustment lets me walk with it without bending over (I'm 5'10'') and the seat gives me a safe comfortable place to sit when I need to rest (handy in this covid environment - I can space away from others and still sit). Also, the center fold makes it easy to fit through constricted spaces. For me this product has returned to me the ability to handle the task of manipulating it by myself rather than having to stand back and have someone else do it for me.

DONT BUY from Alamed, decent rollator so far. Not sure if it is $400 decent yet...
SELLER RATING - ALAMED - The stars on my rating are purely for the product itself. NOT the seller Alamed. If you can avoid it, do not buy from them. Their customer service is rude and they do not care for you other than to make a buck. I ordered this for my husband who has MS. We received it two days before Prime day. On Prime day, the proce was lowered $100. I contacted Amazon customer service to see if it was even possible to get the difference credited to me since I would have waited to purchase had I known it was going to drop that drastically. I had to finance this rollator as it was out of my budget to just fork out that much money. Amazon agreed and said they would request the seller refund me the difference. How fantastic right? Wrong. I get a response from Alamed saying Amazon cant dictate what they do and they are not going to refund me the difference. Fine. I suppose, I ordered outside of Prime day I get it whatever. BUT it is ehat they did next that boils me. They removed the listing with the discount and relisted at normal price. I assume to prevent me from requesting a return and buying the replacement at the discounted price. I was t even willing to do that as packaging it up and shipping it would have been a nightmare. I was more upset that others would not be able to participate in the deal for Prime day because they were that concerned about the discount. Really? All for a whopping $100? Amazon even disapproved of their actions and said they were going to handle the seller themselves, whatever that means. All in all I never got the discount but the rudeness was over the top. Their concern is definitely not the patient or customers, it is the bottom line and that is it. We have enough to deal with being disabled or family taking care of someone disabled, then to have a company take complete advantage is disgusting. ROLLATOR RATING - it seems sturdy, it is very wide and my husband is more comfortable in this one than his other one. I am not a fan of Drive as his first wheelchair was from them and I was terrified to push him as it felt like it was going to fall apart at any second. Thankfully it was a temporary one until his "real" one was done. But he really loved the design so I caved. He doesnt run over or bump his feet as much as he has with previous ones so that in itself is a plus. It is very adjustable as well. Four complaints we have - Drive isnt paying us to be their commercial and the embroidered DRIVE across the back strap is a but much so yes, my seam ripper came out on day 2 and I took it off perfectly. The bars on this are so so thick it is hard to have a choice when I comes to accessories. The cup holder accessory for this is worthless. It has a bunch of holes in it because they tried to make it look modern and cool however if you put stuff in it like pens or whatever like my husband does, they fall through. Plus it maybe holds a can of soda. It is SO small. I ended up buying an extender cup holder thing you would get for your car and we put the extender in the cup holder and he now can use it properly. With how thick the bars on the nitro are, there are virtually no other options unfortunately. The cane holder accessory only fits very small canes. So I had to rig his cane tube to fit in the bottom of the cane accessory then strap the tube to the rollator so he could have a place for his 2" wide cane. Atleast we got it :) Last complaint is the handle in the middle of the seat. He can feel it on his bum and if he sits in it for a long period of time it even leaves a mark! I put a towel or something a little plushie under him when he will be sitting in it awhile to prevent that. All in all, good rollator. Still not convinced it is $400 worth of rollator yet. Time will tell. His last one that cost $120 lasted him four years so we will see!

I like this rollator!
I purchased the Nitro HD Rollator by Drive Medical on May 17, 2018. The free delivery was supposed to be between 5/21 an 5/23, it was delivered on 5/19/18. The unit comes fully assembled, including the wheels and brakes. It appears very well made and solid. I got the HD model with a max weight of 450 pounds. I weigh 320 pounds. But I bought it primarily for the wide seat. My wide hips easily fit between the main supports. And it fits through the doors in my house without having to collapse it. The seat and back support are not cushioned. They are more like an expensive, high quality lawn chair. They are very comfortable despite having no cushions. I bought a heavy duty rollator called the Mighty Mack last year. It is well built and will hold up to 600 pounds. But it is too bulky to get in my car, either the trunk or back seat, even when collapsed. And my car is a large Chrysler sedan. So I keep the Mighty Mack in the garage and only use it when I am working in the yard. By comparison, the Nitro HD collapses well enough to fit in the trunk or back seat. I made a mistake buying the Mighty Mack first. If you are looking for a heavy duty rollator that is comfortable, collapses easily, fits easily in the car and has support handles that can be adjusted without tools, go for the Nitro HD. If you are small, I would recommend the regular Nitro rollator.
