Adds some lower frequency support for stock systems that lack it.
This is a very good value for the money, and I was shocked by the installation kit that included everything that you would need for a variety of installation options, including a line level to RCA converter (which I did not need to use, but will keep). This will not add window shaking bass to your car nor will it tickle the frequencies down to 20Hz, but it does exactly what I wanted it to do, and that was add some lower frequency support to the stock speakers in a 1999 Honda CRV. This model vehicle basically has no lower frequency support with the stock system, but this rounds out the sound nicely. It is a small unit and it fit beautifully into the "spare-tire" area under the rear cargo "picnic table" (if you know gen1 CRVs, this will make sense to you) and since I ran the power back there from the battery, the connections were otherwise quite easy. You will have to be willing to remove some trim pieces to run wires, but if this is a skill you have, this will be easy for you. The quality of the unit itself is really nice, and again, I am shocked at the completeness of the installation kit. It will not add powerful bass to your ride like a huge enclosure will, but it will make a thin sounding stock system sound like a much higher end system and for under $100. And given the small size and low cost, the power of this unit is really good. As a side note, this was my second choice. My first was a round unit designed to fit in the spare tire, but another seller/brand sold me a unit that was dead out of the box. I bought this one as a second choice, but frankly am happy because I think that I like it better. The blue LEDs are not visible to me since the unit is hidden in a closed cargo area, but one could get inside of the enclosure and delete the lights. I would probably have added a toggle to turn this on or off, but for this price point, I am not complaining. If this was installed under a seat, the blue light may become distracting, but if you can wire your car for this installation, you can figure out how to make the LEDs "go away." My only reason for not giving this 5 stars is because people need to understand that this will not replace a full size bass enclosure. It is not a reflection of the quality of the unit, or a referendum on the price. For what it is, it is a 5-star device, but do not expect competition levels of bass. The size of this makes that physically impossible. Updated to 5-stars. I like this the more that I use it. Just do not expect it to rattle your windows.

For the price, 5 stars
Install was easy, sound quality is good for the price. Keep in mind this is not a 12 in a box so you aren’t getting giant bass but it improves sound over factory speakers. The built in lights are extremely bright and WILL reduce visibility at night. I wish there was a way to just turn them off but cutting power to it was very easy. If you’re looking to improve factory sound without losing much space this is a solid choice. One thing the wires with this do work but they are surprisingly small gauge giant insulation tiny copper. I used what shipped but, I wonder if sound might improve without the restriction of the small gauge wire.

Good bass at a great cost!
Super stoked with this speaker! Installed it in 2024 Toyota Tacoma under rear seat and it absolutely bumps! Not going to win any bass competitions but it fills the whole cab with good low end balance. Not a fan of LED light seems like it could be a little distracting at night but because mine is under a seat I don’t see it. The included LOC works great and has a remote wire that, for me, works great to turn speaker on and off when car is started. (It does take about 30 seconds to turn off after car is shut down, probably just from remaining voltage in line.) Would be 5 stars if wiring kit was better, I bought a 8 gauge amp wiring kit on Amazon for 20$ and it made a big difference. If you are looking for some filler bass at a great cost this is the speaker for you!

Great addition to stock system
Great addition to my Tacoma stock sound system. Unfortunately did not fit under my seat but found a great place and it looks good there. As described by others it doesn't rattle your windows but it does have a very good sound. I'm impressed with it, simple setup and install. Had to tweak the settings a little to get the sound the way I like. I did however open it and disable the lights. Overall well worth the cost and i do recommend it to anyone looking to enhance the sound of their music. Not super load but you can feel and hear the difference.

Stan's Mom Loves These Speakers!
Got two of these tens for my old f150 with the regular cab which has literally no room for anything else. I gotta say i am surprisingly impressed. You won't need to buy RCA cables or anything, it all comes with the speakers. Includes power wire as well but I would recommend running a heavier gauge wire from your battery than the one provided. It is insulated very well so it looks like a large gauge wire but stripped down it is a little thin in my opinion to draw that much power directly from the battery in surges like it will need to at higher gains. The Speakers: These thump pretty darn hard for some thin box speakers....if you put these into a bandpass box I suspect the thump would rival some of the name brands. With the thin sealed box the sound doesn't carry very far, which is either good or bad, depending on how annoying you are trying to be to that jerk Stan and his entitled mom that live next door. Me personally, I was hoping to wake Stan's mom up at all hours of the night, but it doesn't quite get there. I mean don't get me wrong, the crazy old bat can for sure hear me coming! I'll be removing my muffler and installing those dual straight exhausts after all. Stan's mom will love that. Inside the cab: the sound is phenomenal. I am going to have to buy some super tweeters to counteract these things cause with two of them in that small space turned up the vocals get drowned out by the King Kong in my Kab. I mean, it thumps louder than Stan's mom's thighs when she's shuffling around up there on the second floor, in between going to the restroom and screaming out the window at me about how she always wanted to live next to a body shop and she's so glad that I moved one in, etc etc. I mean she was so appreciative of the sounds she had always dreamt of, I decided to sometimes working on my truck in the middle of the night, so she wouldn't be deprived of the rhythmic pounding of my hammer on rusty metal for too long at a time. And I completely stopped using my garage to do my repairs: it was just too far away from her house. My driveway passes right underneath her bedroom window and I have found this is an ideal place to do things like body work, or testing out my new pneumatic drill that is just as awesome as the ones they use at the shop when you go to get new tires or whatever. I think i'll start rotating my own tires now that i have such a conveniently open spot to work on my stuff. Vroom vroom, Stan's Mom! The lights are amazing, I am regretting not buying the option with the color changing remote. The blue is cool, but how cool would the other colors be? I mean the blue is AWESOME so the rest is probably amazing too and i really feel like i missed out. Maybe the seller could send me a free remote since I bought two and spent the time letting everyone know about how much Stan's mom loves these speakers. I mean she just adores them, comes to the window a lot when i have them going as I change my oil in my driveway or whatever. Well that's all i can think of for now. Think I'll go put on some Mike Jones and jack the truck up and make sure none of the frame underneath has gotten any soft spots through the winter. I am pretty meticulous about rust prevention and i just got my new hammer in today and I am itching to use it, let me tell you. Here I come, Stan!

Surpassed my expectations
My first car subwoofer installation. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations. I was expecting to fill in the missing bass from my stock speakers instead my car now sounds like a totally different audio system. I don’t normally play my music loud but sometimes I want to. The bass is definitely enough and it can go more than I need. I was cautious of the price compared to name brands but hey I didn’t want to spend a lot. I’m very happy with this purchase. Hopefully it lasts but if I ever need another, I wouldn’t hesitate. Installation instructions that come with the sub isn’t the greatest but it’s easy enough to find the info you need if your inclined to search and ask questions. My head unit already has sub outputs so it was easy to connect. It also has connections already for connecting to an amplifier so that was easy to connect too. The hardest part was hiding wires and getting the positive wire to the engine compartment and battery. It just took some time to route wires. Best audio improvement to my car so far.

Solid and Worth Taking Your Time
Been about 2 months and no problems, took the whole day to install but I wanted to ensure every cut was precise and would work. Getting power cable through was most difficult but after that it was rather straightforward on wiring. ALL the wires have to be connected in order for the sub to work, thought I could navigate out of the auto turn on but nope. Also check the manual for the amp as the one on the sub is incorrect. I also had to crank a-lot of the gain and bass boost to achieve my desired taste. Might go in and try to cut the blue lights since they can be annoying for guests at night, but I like the color blue so I dont mind.

Ehhhh
800 watts is pushing it when 400 watts sounds about the same. Easy to install wires, knob included basically idiot proof, fail proof install. I put a toggle on my rem I dont always want bass. Great for learning if you've never installed a sub before. 5 stars if it were actually 800w. Quality product I was expecting lightweight/ plastic. Its made from aluminum decent weight. Looks pretty sweet the blue lit spider is cool. Been using for a couple days kinda disappointed expected a Lil more...

Fantastic/Full Budget Sound
Blown away by the sound from this sub. I am using it in a classic Ford truck with 6.5" speakers in the door and a single dash retrosound speaker. This sub fills the cab with full sound that seamlessly covers the entire frequency of the music. I was pleasantly surprised by not just the sound but the build quality and what you get in the box. All the wiring you will need, fused connections, etc. Very impressed for the price.

Solid sound for the price. Good for some one on a budget
Pleasently surprised, Great sound for the price, Gotta tune it to get good sound but thats easy enough. Simple installation, It says to hook up the blue accessory cable to the accessories fuse but i just hooked it up to the accessories cable that runs to the head unit. Would be good to have a switch for the light but it being behind the drivers seat I don't really notice it. I would deffinatly recommend this for some one on a budjet who is looking to get some good low end sound.
