Great machine. Good looking, easy to use. Quiet. Easy set up. Excellent quality. Very efficient . Bigger than I expected and heavier. Not something you would want to move often. One criticism is the length of the hose. It is very short. I have ordered an extension and wish I had done that when I ordered the machine. Delivery was on time. I am very pleased with my purchase.

a few months in now of use its been a godsend in the hot weather no doubt about it.... i stand by all what I have said below but the silent mode does take the noise down enough to be still on a conference call without it being too noisy. I wouldn't be without it now on these hot summer days, so as long as you can put up with the hassles of below then I would recommend it. Ok so a number of things to know with the Pinguino PACEX 120 silent 1. It’s heavy ! Wheeling it around on one floor is fine but if you want to lift it between floors then good luck with that, the grab handles on the side of the unit are not deep enough to hold it with confidence and it’s around 32kg so unless you are a gym fanatic then you will need two people to lift it 2. It’s NOISY ! With the refrigerator on (the compressor) then it’s noisy, imagine your fridge at full tilt then x 10 ! You get the drift. So forget being able to be on a conference call and not hearing it in the background. This is total misinformation from the manufacturer about it being silent…the silent mode still sounds like a 747 going overhead 3. It’s a brilliant cooler however and can cool down a medium size room double quick so you can just turn it on and off as you need too. It can cool down a room to 18c in less then 30 mins and it stays cool for while depending on how hot it outside of course 4. It is relatively expensive to run. My smart meter jumps by 25p per hour to run it with the cooler runner. The fan mode is like 2p per hour by comparison 5. It’s big! It’s the size of a very large suitcase by comparison 6. The standard exhaust pipe is useless, super thick and very short so unless you have it right next to the window or have it purposefully next to a hole in the wall then forget it. I bought a extra long 6m thinner version from Amazon and it’s fine 7. Oh yeah and that hose, it’s pain in the wotsit, you need somewhere to vent the warm air (and it does get hot) so think carefully where you would do that. It comes with various attachments and some metal plate thingy but unless you have sash windows then they are all useless. Just buy the above extension and stick the pipe out of the window in another room. 8. It has a handy remote control in fairness which is very responsive and allows you to control the modes etc. It has a holder on top of the unit which you can put it in once done. So key question is would I recommend it?....given the limited options on the market then YES if you want a cooler and not a fan, but be aware of all of the above if you buy it. They aren’t cheap and come with hassles but with the temperatures getting hotter and hotter in the UK then what choice other than a properly installed a/c unit do you have?!!?

This is a really good AC unit. It is a bit of a wooshing sound but that is to be expected of any air conditioning, portable or fixed. It does not stop me sleeping and is a godsend on those humid nights. The wheels make it easy to move and the remote control makes it easy to change modes without even getting up. My husband has now made a hole in the wall so that we don't need to have the window open although it worked well like that. I just wanted it to be neater. It cools the room down quickly and keeps it at the level you are comfortable with. This model is a cut above the rest on looks alone so was worth the extra paid. Highly highly recommended. *UPDATE 2025 5 years later still going strong. I've just done a video to show the noise level when it's on quiet. The reason I'm back on here is to order a second as this one has been so good. Still highly recommended

I purchased this mainly for the "Quiet" feature and that it was in Black so looked different and sleek from previous Aircon units I've purchased. Honestly its no different to bog standard aircon units at half the price of this, in fact its really noisy - don't waste your money! Listen to the unit in action in the video, its horrendously loud in aircon mode which let's face it, is the only mode you want it in otherwise you'd use a fan. Also when it arrived the sleek black casing wasn't even properly mounted with half the panel on one side not clipped in properly, not what you expect from a £700+ unit. Awful buy.

Nice looking aircon unit to replace a competitor’s unit that was delivered faulty. This one costs three hundred pounds more than the one we sent back and the room temperature does not reduce as much as the first one we bought, the noise is not too bad but makes little to no difference whether or not silent mode is used. The large LED display on the front of the unit does not turn off at night, this is also in our experience an expensive to run unit. It’s okay but hasn’t delivered the outcome that we expected for a premium priced product. As soon as the competitor’s unit is back in stock, we will buy that one instead and save three hundred pounds. In our personal opinion, it cools but not significantly enough, it is fairly quiet but not ground breaking and isn’t energy efficient.

The air conditioner is a good as the 5 star reviews claim, bit loud but great value for money. The real purpose of my review is to praise the customer service of the seller Duxotte. An incident occured where an employee uploaded an incorrect tracking number, resulting in amazon announcing my air conditioner as delivered when it had not yet arrived, i panicked fearing the worst, I contacted the seller (Duxotte) who cleared everything up WITHIN HOURS and put me at ease, everything arrived a few days later as i had been assured. 5 stars for customer service.

After doing extensive research into many of the major branded and non branded air con units, I decided to take the risk and buy this unit. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. It worked so well for the large sized bedroom that I’ve ordered another for the living room. The noise levels are fine (competitors in this space have around the same levels) and it uses R290 refrigerant which is the latest, and environmentally friendly. Overall it’s costly, but worth it if you don’t want to suffer from constant heat in your apartment and would like something that looks good.

Powerful and quiet cooling delivered quickly. One point docked as hose not long enough to be put out through the window, but a short piece of 5 inch ducting, a jubilee clamp and some duck tape sorted that out easily. Note that it is very heavy to move up and down stairs, but rolls easily between rooms on the same floor.

Dieses Klimagerät ist super. Es ist nicht ganz so massig (schmal) und hat eine sehr gute Kühlleistung. Wir kühlen damit einen 35 m2 Raum, wenn die Türen offen sind einen noch größeren Raum (insgesamt vllt 80m2, die von diesem Gerät abgedeckt werden), unter dem Dach (kaum Dachschrägen). Durch dieses Gerät ist der Sommer erträglich geworden und man kann wieder schlafen. Wir haben abends meist 28 bis 30 Grad in der Wohnung. Mit dem Gerät schaffen wir es, in 3-4 Stunden, die Räume auf 25 Grad zu kühlen. Vom Handling her ist es mein Lieblingsgerät. Die real feel- Fkt nutze ich dann immer, wenn die Whg runtergekühlt ist. Sie schafft ein angenehmes Raumklima. Ich kann das Gerät weiterempfehlen und würde es erneut kaufen. Zum Thema Geräuschkulisse: das Gerät klingt wie ein Kühlschrank, der auf Hochtouren läuft + Gebläse. Aber das Frequenzspektrum ist für unsere Ohren angenehm . Zum Glück war dieser Sommer nicht ganz so heiß wie der letzte. Wir haben das Klimagerät daher bislang immer in der Nacht ausgeschaltet. Wenn der nächste Sommer aber wieder so heiß werden sollte, würde ich aber eher das Gerät im silent Modus laufen lassen als wegen Hitze nicht schlafen zu können. Ich brauche meinen Schlaf, um tagsüber gut arbeiten zu können. Durch den Klimawandel haben wir jetzt leider einen erhöhten Stromverbrauch, was traurig ist, da ein Klimagerät alles andere als ökologisch ist. Auf der anderen Seite steigt das Unfallrisiko, wenn man nachts nicht schläft und man kann seine Arbeit nicht gescheit machen. ... Ein Dilemma

Très satisfaite de ce climatiseur mobile. Il refroidit très bien la pièce et fait rapidement baisser la température, ce qui est très agréable pendant les fortes chaleurs. Je le trouve aussi joli et plutôt compact, donc il ne prend pas trop de place dans la pièce. Concernant le bruit, pour un climatiseur mobile, je le trouve tout à fait correct et supportable. Bon appareil dans l’ensemble, efficace et pratique. Je recommande. 😊

Sul mercato vi sono apparecchi ad un prezzo inferiore, ma questo è il"Pinguino" della De Longhi, il top per qualità ed efficienza, con il pagamento in dodici rate diventa abbordabile. Lo consiglio, i consumi sono contenuti e data la potenza una stanza va subito in temperatura e poi ha varie modalità operative. Il tubo di scarico calore tende a staccarsi facilmente, occorrerebbe qualche modifica, io ho sopperito al problema con un giro di nastro adesivo bianco, prativamente invisibile. Certamente è un po' rumoroso, anche nella modalità silenziosa, ma se state riposando, poiché il rumore è costante dopo un po' non lo sentite più, comunque la velocità della ventola è regolabile, come pure l'oscillazione

Das Gerät ist funktional top, einer der besten und stärksten auf dem Markt. Nur hat es wie alle Monoblockgeräte eine konzeptionelle Schwäche. Prinzipbedingt bläst das Gerät die warme Lüft raus, dichtet man das Abblasrohr ab entsteht im Haus Unterdruck. Was wiederrum dazu führt dass Aussenlüft durch jede Ritze von aussen eingesaugt wird. Unter anderem durch Küchenabzugshaube oder den Kaminschornstein. Und wenn Heizraum zum Wohnraum nicht gut abgedichtet ist eventuell auch über den Heizungsschornstein(!). Das kann schon gfährlich werden, wenn der Kessel für die Warmwasseraufbereitung auch im Sommer läuft. Also man sollte sich wegen abdichten nicht verrückt machen, wenn es zu gut abgedichtet wird muss man dann irgendwo ein Fenster aufmachen. Über die Lautstärke sage ich erstmal nix, das Ding ist laut auch wenn silent drauf steht. Das Geräusch besteht aus Lüfterrauschen und Kompressorbrummen, beides sind niederfrequent, stört mich tagsüber nicht wirklich, an Schlaf bei der Geräuschkulisse ist aber nicht zu denken. Zu Kühlleistung: die ausströmende Lüft bei Volllast hat etwa 5°C (bei Aussentemperatur 23°C und Innentemperatur 20°C) ob und wie gut ein Raum dabei abgekühlt wird hängt vom Raumvolumen ab.
