That's the reminder of the caffeine. It's important to keep chewing. 10 min will get you 99% of the caffeine. The gum hits hard and fast. This was a nice addiction trade, giving up energy drinks but still getting my daily caffeine intake. But I wanted something that was easier on my stomach and gave me less heartburn, so I decided to give something like this a shot. I'm sure glad I did.Energy drinks like Reign and Bangs definitely give me energy, but they also make me jittery, sometimes flush my face, and can make me feel a little flustered if I really haven't had enough sleep the night prior. This gum does none of that, and only gives me focus. There's no anxiousness or jittery feeling that comes with it.I chew one piece in the morning right after breakfast as I begin my shift, and then another right after lunch and it works great. If I'm working a 14+ hour shift I'll chew a third piece around dinner, but I don't like to have caffeine after 2-3pm as it makes it more difficult for me to sleep that night.My only complaint about the gum is that the flavor does not last long. It is gone within half an hour or so.
