ULTIMEA 5.1.2 Soundbar with Dolby Atmos, 520W Peak Power, Home Theater Surround Sound System, Sound Bar for TV, 8" Wireless Subwoofers, 2 Upward-firing Drivers, 4K HDR, Nova S80 (2025 Upgraded)

I don't often write reviews for anything, but when something is this good at such a low price then it really needs to be given the credit it deserves. Everything from the build quality, to even the packaging is very high end on a low budget.

Atmos sound is barely noticeable while watching Disney plus ultimate or the upgraded netflix. Unfortunately it isn't as described Secondly the bass unit is larger but just doesn't have the oomph you would expect from an 8" Subwoofer To be honest I'm really disappointed This isn't either working properly or the description is just not as described. I'm wondering if ultimea has an option for me or I'm going to return and change soundbar Manufacturer. I had the poseidon d50 Then upgraded to the poseidon d60 The nova s80 was meant to be an upgrade from the poseidon d60 from which I am ultimately disappointed so far and I have paid extra on the subscription services to have dolby atmos which I feel I've wasted my money on the soundbar and the upgrade of my streaming subscriptions to get the best sound. My tv supports dolby atmos with hdmi v. 2.1 earc. Really not happy

Like their other kit this unit makes great value for money and the tone is excellent...but... I found that a lot of sources I was getting a low rumble from the sub and rear speakers during the otherwise quiet scenes, usually dialogue only. At first I thought it was wind noise outside the house but no... It was the sub. Once you hear it you couldn't NOT hear it. I tried all the recommended solutions including updating the firmware to v1.61. no help. This was great for a really loud noisy action movie, it just went to hell when it needed to basically just shhhh. It of course could be a minor incompatibility with my LG OLED or even that my hearing picks up a range that you're won't...so this could be a great bargain for you...or not. Just, if you take a chance on it... Unpack it gently and try it with a mind on maybe having to return it. Don't wreck the box etc. Sadly I had to return the item. 🤞🏻 Fingers crossed for the refund. As an entry level system that won't break the bank it's a good upgrade over the TV speakers. It's very simple to put together and set up. Decent enough sound seperation for the price, dialogue is clear. The remote is functional, if a bit slow to respond sometimes, but it's not the end of world. The only real issue I have is with the subwoofer. It's fine if there is plenty going on (probably because you can't hear it), but during quiet or dialogue heavy scenes rather than giving depth to the sound the subwoofer just pops and bubbles and sounds generally hideous.

My experience with Ultimea. I bought this product and I couldn't install it for several month because i was decorating the room. When i got to install it, I hit problems. The soundbar wouldn't update and the subwoofer barely worked. However, the Ultimea team was decent (4 month after i bought it) although i had to provide photo's and video's to prove the system wasn't working they did actually send me a totally new system all be it refurnished cos they didn't have a replacement but i did have to pay postage in US Dollars (Slightly extra cost). They didn't ask for the old system to be returned. (FAIR PLAY). It now works, but i have to say I don't think it's a great product. The bass is still quite low, and if you hook it up to your PC (you need to download Dolby Atmos extension) windows doesn't doesn't like it much. You have to turn dolby atmos off within windows or it will only play through 2 speakers. However, playing games through dolby which are Atmos enabled sounds great if still lacking a bit of bass. I'm guessing the problems are known to Ultimea, hence why it's no longer available. The psidon range however is perfectly good. But the team after service team at ultimea deserve a lot of praise. They were wonderful.

The soundbar is sleek looking with a very low profile. With a height around two fingers, it won't interfere with your TV's remote sensor. The sub-woofer on the other hand is oversized compared to many others. Setting up the system is quick and simple. All the necessary cables are included. The sub-woofer should, and did, arrive already paired to the soundbar. The instructions advise what to do if it isn't. The two surround speakers connect to the sub-woofer using RCA cables. The soundbar can be connected to the TV using either the optical cable or the eARC HDMI cable. Using the eARC cable allows the TV to control elements of the soundbar's functionality and vice versa. You might want to use the TV remote to control the volume. Otherwise you should use the soundbar's remote to access all the functionality. Once the TV and soundbar are linked, switching on the TV automatically switches on the soundbar; the sub-woofer has to be switched on manually. For some viewing e.g. news, you might just only use the soundbar. Once connected, any changes to the TV equaliser levels have to be done through the sound bar as they're greyed out on the TV. As a point of interest, if using a bluray player, this has to be connected to the spare HDMI socket on the soundbar, NOT the TV. This applies to any other devices, so having only one spare socket may require a splitter. I particularly like the fact that the sound bar display goes off after a few minutes once you've switched on or made changes so it's not a distraction. Our room arrangement doesn't suit positioning the sub-woofer and rear speakers to the rear. Consequently both the surround sound and Dolby Atmos are less effective. Nevertheless the sound quality is excellent. The surround sound is very good. The above sound from the soundbar's two upward facing speakers is good but not as impressive. The three sound modes of Movie, Dialogue and Music, all work well and are very noticeably different. You also have bass control from -4 to +4. We found that depending on the source material, you might want to experiment. The 520 watt output can generate a lot of sound. Even at very high levels, there is no distortion from any of the speakers. I hope you found this review useful. If you have a question, I always try to respond when Amazon forwards them to me.
