I’ve been on the hunt for a trustworthy tallow sun balm, and I’m glad to say I’ve finally found one. This balm is a solid choice if you’re looking to move away from sunscreens with questionable chemicals. The product is a bit thicker, so you do need to take your time rubbing it in, and if you apply too much, it can leave a slight white cast. However, the extra effort is worth it for the peace of mind that comes with using minimal and natural ingredients. It’s fragrance-free and leaves my skin with a nice glow without peeling or flaking, even after reapplying. If you are like me, you want your child to have the healthiest possible options for sunscreen this is it. Only 2 ingredients! Grass fed beef tallow and Non nano zinc oxide. My daughter has very sensitive skin and got a horrible sunburn earlier in the summer and I haven't felt good about putting the chemical filled regular sunscreen on her. This was the least expensive, healthy option to use until I can render my own beef tallow! It is a small jar, but it's glass so that's nice. It has a faint scent that my husband swears smells like stew... but it's hardly noticeable and fades over time. It does leave your skin looking a but white, but I'd rather have that than get a sunburn OR have chemicals soak into your skin! Love it so much we've bought it 3 times!

I have very dark skin and rarely need sunblock but my wife has a super pale complexion. I often worry about my family using harmful sunscreens . We've gotten into beef tallow skin care and I convinced her to try this sunbalm for a trip on the lake. She was out most of the day in 90+ degrees 8-9 Uv index and didn't burn at all. We got home and went for a 20 minute walk with the dogs and she didn't think to put any on and she burnt her shoulders so it definitely works very well.
